World of Warcraft Login screen concept : Age of Dark

This is a login screen concept from the fictive World of Warcraft expansion : Age of Dark.

Expansion lore :
During his last stand, Deathwing launched a last and ultimate cataclysm.

Althought the mighty dragon has been defeated, the world shattered even more.

No one was safe anymore.

The mortals failed saving Azeroth.

Great fire storms, earth quakes and other catastrophes striked everywhere.

it seemed like the end of the world had come.

While the Nordrassil was reduced to ashes, the Teldrassil opened up to welcome all refugees around the world, protecting them with his thicc wooden body.

Some refugees took the Draenei’s Spaceship, Exodar, to flee the planet. Some others hid in grottos and underground caves, waiting for the surface to be livable again.

Most of the Heroes died during this time, giving their lives to protect the remaining survivors of the planet.

Three hundred years later, as the Teldrassil finally opens again,
heroes from ancient time would slowly appear on the surface.

You are among those heroes, rising from the ashes, but appreaing to be only a shadow of your former self.

As you help the survivors and their descendants, new threats coming.

On the west, Garrosh Hellscream “the immortal”, rules the Horde with an Iron fist, enslaving and terrorizing everyone who disagrees with him.

In the Eastern Kingdom, the Leaders of the Alliance are corrupted, only carrying about themselves rather than their own people.
