Thank you, just discovered your channel and liked and subscribed. I'm a bit of a pet collector myself. It's not a 'free' pet imo they know people will buy the mouse just to collect the in game item. They seem desperate with the explosion of all the promotional pets and other items in 2024. I've never seen so many promotions in one year.
making promo pets non combat actually isn't a bad idea. all the other promo goodies for blizzard you got (at least back when i played) were purely cosmetic too
Thanks for bringing this up. There's no way I'm going to buy a product like a mouse just because it is tied to an OP pet. Microblizz is a new kind of cheesy, with apparently no shame in creating pay to win systems.
I bought the mouse for this pet, and unfortunately do not like the mouse. I'll stick with a Razer Naga.
I also bought the headset, for the headset. I gave away the mount in my guild discord. The headset is actually nice and the SteelSeries software is awesome.
I hope they cool it on expensive promo pets and stuff… It's been a rough few months for collectors. I am currently at 1843 unique pets, so I feel obligated to participate.
Since you came back it appears by your content it's only to shit on the game. Why come back at all? As a business owner of 40 years it's not a free pet and it's not a $159.99 pet, it's an incentive to buy for some not all. They know the majority of people don't want a mouse over $100… Unsubscribed.
I was so sad when I saw how expensive this pet was going to be! I didn't buy the shop one because I didn't have the spare money at the time, and I figured it would come into the trading post so it would be fine.
Seeing as how we haven't seen him yet, and we have zero indication it'll be there soon (and now would have been a great time, what with the anniversary celebration going on) it stings seeing this guy being put out for such a massive cost.
Even if his moveset was completely copy/paste with a cheap vendor in game pet, they have to know how adorable this guy is, and how much that's going to make collectors like me want him.
i really wish blizzard would just not make promotion pets battle but their infinite greed prevents them from doing so. this anniversary event was the greediest pos event iver ever seen.
First, can I say you make my favourite strategies. I been using them for years, but just fell over your channel here now, clicked Like and subbed.
Then, I must admit I bought the stupid 90euro Bruto mount, but I hated myself doing it. This pet now, it is retarded(Not the pet, the way you can get it). Blizzard is not anywhere near what it used to be. It's all about money for them now, in whatever form they can squeeze it from us. I think it should be a non combat pet. Or at least tie it to watch 20 hours on twitch to get it. I'd do that cause heck he is a cutie.. :s I'd even watch 50.. But I'm not paying an insane amount for him.
A lot of these promos are making me very sad and kinda burnt out as an EU player, especially those Mountain Dew Mounts, regardless of that, very nice video!
They need to stop selling items that have functionality you can’t get in-game with in-game currency. Those aren’t cosmetics, those are paid advantages.
Bought the mouse without realizing it came with a pet but I returned it because I found the same store was discounting the non-wow version of the same mouse for $35.
You do not buy the mouse for the battle pet. You buy a mouse because you want to use a mouse on all your games and it happens to come with a battle pet. Anyone who has been gaming for a while will know that premium gaming mice cost $100 or more regularly. I am sorry for the folks that got put out of reach for this battle pet because of it, but framing it as though the only reason the mouse has any value is because of the battle pet is a little silly
Other question what's the quality of of the mouse is it a good mouse or is it a cheap build that will break in a year $150 is an investment but your going to need a mouse to play the game. I hated the AH mount because it was 90 dollars for pixels on polygons but if mouse will last years and is of sturdy build it may be key word maybe be worth the Investment
Reminds me of that scene in the SImpsons where Homer is shouting ''you just lost a customer'' at Moe, while being drowned out by shouting customers. You can't see the floor of Dornogal through the Brutosaurs
I see no issue with adding an exclusive pet with a product purchase. It’s the same as getting an exclusive for buying a ticket to Blizzcon or Final Fantasy convention. However I agree with it being non combat vs a battle pet. I don’t feel it’s a cash grab by blizzard as it’s being sold by Steele Series so while Blizzard gets a part of that profit I’m sure. they are certainly not getting anywhere near that full amount. Steele series and Razer produce (most times) some of the best products on the market so at least you’re also getting a quality product if you happen to buy one of them.
Classic Blizzard move. They weaponize FOMO so I'm not at all surprised by this. Hell I've known people back when Diablo 3 first launched that ONLY bought the collectors edition solely for the Tyrael Angelic Horse mount. Then they never touched Diablo 3.
Ooof. This hurts me in particular – as a 17 year veteran Fury Warrior, on my main 'mog I dual wield the Xu'tenash, Glaive of Ruin that this guy has a cute little baby version of, augh!
people genuinely thought microsoft would save blizzard
lmao

Flameo hotman!
Wireless mouse and gaming do not go together.
