  1. lol , excellent , i love my 6800xt , even if most of sponsored youtubers try to disgust me of amd , thanks wccftechtv , btw i don't car about raytracing because i can't really see it , usually when i think there is , there is none, and when i think there is none , there is … for the moment every game i play don't use rt , except for dirt 5 (yeah i like this one lol, it's pretty fun if you don't buy it more than 20 euro – i think there is ray tracing illumination by night in this game ? makes me think of minecraft lights … but in other game i don't see it , bf5, control, can't see it , it's so subtil that it's so ridiculous for the loss of performance… and then as said , if i had to choose between a filter like dlss , ris or other and native 4k , i choose native 4k everyday )

  2. Looks nice but still will not play WoW because it just looks meh to me. Now if Square Enix will bring DX12, HDR and RayTracing to Final Fantasy XIV, that game would look beautiful.

  3. With due respect to everyone, if ray tracing mattered so much then all the legendary games would be garbage already. But they aren't?
Why? Because of the immersion. Consider consoles. Can't deliver 30fps sometimes (last gen) yet have a library of legendary games like Halo Gears of war RDR1 Uncharted series God Of War and so on.
What I mean is RT is the future. But it isn't worth the performance loss yet.

  4. Nvidia GPU better specially on the minimum fps
AMD GPU only ran well in non-demanding areas. But demanding area that caused drops below 60fps, AMD GPU struggled. At 7:00 from the video Griffon SW to kharanos with 1440p max RT, RTX 3070 has 65fps minimum while 6800XT got minimum 59fps and 6800 ran it 51fps

In otherwords, RTX 3070 will get over 60fps all the time in 1440p max RT setting and in all maps, but 6800 will not. So even if average fps on nvidia is not better, RTX 3070 still better card out of the two for people who want 60fps all the time on 1440p with RT

  5. To be honest, when I look at AMDs Raytracing, since its their first generation I try to think how do they compare to Turing.
    RX 6900XT vs 2080ti.
That interests me the most I guess. It tells us what future RDNA generations are capable of.
However, both cards require optimizations to function nicely.
    Love it.
Ampere is like icing on the cake. The consumers won, if they could get their hands on the cards.

  6. Having played wow with RT on a 1440 ultra wide on a 2080TI and still have noticable stutter in some areas is baffling to me….
TBH Such a big performance hit for something you have to look for is quite BS to me.
I don't get people are still defending raytracing in the state it is in at this moment.

  7. This test seems kinda pointless. It should have been done in the newer Shadowlands zones (Baston and Ardenweld are pretty intensive zones) there are also much more realistic situations. What's the point of these numbers if you can only achieve them when there's no other players around? What would the performance hit be like if I'm in a dungeon or raid?
