  1. The Horde and Alliance actually both have the same experience, the only key difference being the NPC's that you come across. What you came across on the island appears to be some kind of W.I.P section that never made it to live, perhaps scrapped or a discontinued project that they made but never removed. As someone who experiences a lot of OOB stuff on a different server that isn't retail, it's always interesting to see things like this. All of the Forsaken stuff around, as well as the whole Stormheim Vrykul themed structures, suggests that it was maybe something they planned to be part of the main tutorial for new players to visit and never made it in fully.

  2. That looks like an exact copy paste of a section of Stormheim. Without knowing too much about this i'd wager that the developers of Exiles Reach cut a portion of the Stormheim and put it in this map to use as an asset palette. Just a way to copy already made rocks, waterfalls, trees, etc. to save design time and cost and either forgot to remove it after or kept it so you can see more islands in the distance. It's still super neat to see this though!
