  1. Wow actually pretty unreal, that you don’t get 120 FPS in bastion. Do you think it would be better to get the 6900XT maybe combined with the AMD CPU? In November I thought that this set up could handle the g9 – but I guess we are not there yet ..

Also It would be much nicer if You could make a video with your cam / iPhone. So we could see how it looks from a distance / your gamer point of view.

  2. Hi, are you happy with the visuals when you play WoW? I feel like its not as smooth as my old smaller monitor, I think that it blurs quite a bit when you move mice left and right. I tried changing wow settings but could not reach good results. My PC setup is almost identical, with even more powerful CPU.

  3. Thanks so much for posting this video. I have a Samsung CRG90 49" UW which runs at 120Hz. I current play WoW on a fully specced 2018 15" MacBook Pro (frustrating), and I have to run the game with the slider at 3 to get a somewhat consistently respectable FPS for CN raids. So, the game looks bland. I was looking at getting a Ryzen 9 5900 and an RTX 3070, but after seeing this, it seems even with your combo, WoW performs disappointingly, requiring down-tuning of settings from Ultra. It's mind boggling how unoptimized this game this. Doom Eternal with 300+ FPS on one end, and WoW on the other.

  4. Something for your consideration: 80 fps doesnt feel much different from 60 fps. But moving from 60 to 80 back down to 60 is jarring. If you capped your framerate at 60 it would feel very smooth

Edit: after studying your numbers, I'm pretty confused. WoW has always been a CPU/RAM heavy game. It shocked me to see max ram usage around 15-16gb. I wonder if there is a setting that is locking your usage to 1 DIMM (assuming your 64 gbs are 4×16). I'm building this system today with a 3090 and 5900x. Thinking about the g7.

Edit2: Yeah. WoW has very poor CPU utilization. It will max out 1 CPU core and leave the rest practically idling. If you can overclock your CPU without risking overheating do it. You'll get direct FPS gains from it.If you can use most updated drivers that helps as well. CPU matters

  5. Thanks for the video! I am waiting on the G9 Neo to be delivered this week. With patch 9.1.5 FidelityFX Super Resolution should work with Nvidia. If you still play would love to see how that helps with performance if you try the render scale at 50% then work your way up to 90. Just go to the advanced tab and set Resample Quality to FidelityFX Super Resolution. You can also adjust FSR's strength there, from 0.0 (highest quality) to 2.0 (lowest quality). Then you go back to the Graphics section and change resolution scale to anything below 100%.
