Hi !
This video will show the leftovers of what was once planned to be an Alliance specific faction in older versions of the game. While nothing came of this initially, all this faction needed was a bit of time
I hope you enjoy this video and learned something new about Azeroth, thank you for watching 🙂

Come to Turtle WoW where a lot of this has been realized and more of it is being worked on.
100% bullshit and lies. Only speculation! The music should tell you all about how accurate the information in this video is.
Instead we got a fucking furry fest.
d-.-b me chillin to the music
And what we got now?
Voidelves…
You know that the high elf civilization became the blood elves, right? This race/faction wasn't cancelled..
Those towers weren't high elven either. Those were Shal dorei towers.
this video is not accurate . poopy
Beautiful video! Good to see the more obscure parts of the game brought to the light like this, I love it!
I really like the WoW content that you are making lately. Keep it up!😁
Aren't all these ruins across the world remnants of the kaldorei empire that after the sundering were "spread" to the corners of the world? That is why you can find night elf ruins all over the world. I really doubt the hyjal ones belong to any high elf….
More evidence of blizztard incompetence. High elves were served on a silver platter, instead we get elves of every color of the rainbow and fuck all with the OG elves in the lore.
This video feels like it was made back in 2009 – what a throwback 🙂
Lol wtf is this trash music???? Had to mute that crap. And silent movies are not good..
that was very interesting i played vanilla i sure miss it
High elves got wiped out by the Scourge when Arthas invaded quel'thalas to get to the sunwell to revive kel'thuzard. The ruins which you display at 00:00 are a abandoned zone near ghostlands on a beach, if you fly over it or just land near the tower the zone will change to 'quel'thalas', that's a zone since … forever i guess, not sure if it's left there intentional or people forgot about it.
** Maybe not 'wiped out' since they 'transformed' in a way into blood elves. Just like trolls transformed in night elves for some reason.
The "Silvermoon Remnant" got wiped out from the game because they wanted to create 'The Burning Crusade" and somehow add Blood Elves as a playable faction, it wouldn't fit to exist any kind of 'Remnants' since the new faction needed a racial city.
The "hyjal" part is also a little wrong, they wanted to add Hyjal as a playable zone but they didn't had time.. used the exact zone in a raid called 'hyjal summit' where you defeat Archimonde in wc3 campaign. There's also a big bg which was scrapped but was intended to be like a 'moba' kind of map (jdota/lol etc)
Is that video stolen or why are there a WoW sound track in the background and some random ass unfitting generic Youtube soundtrack playing in the foreground?
I always wanted High elves for the alliance and Ogres/forest trolls for the horde…. After 20 years we still got none
Nice video man!
I'm always so nostalgic for old-school wow, I really wish when they made classic, they opt'ed to take it in a different direction rather then just retreating all the same beats – though with most of hte original staff now long gone from blizzard, I'm not sure I'd trust the modern blizzard with the task :/
Honestly, the high elves should have been a bi factional race.
Let us summon the bald one
more recoloring :l we got now 2 taurens, 4 elves, 2 humans (and a half), etc i hope someday i could play as a murloc or a naga xD
Not surprised. High Elves are a faction in Warhammer Fantasy, so Blizzard likely wanted to avoid a lawsuit
I really miss when wow had deep story telling
Its kind of wild how much bigger WoW was supposed to be especially considering that the game released in 2004.
Interesting Also the aesthetic of that Building, very kaldorei.
AMAZING VIDEOS keep it up!
great video mate, for some reason it felt like oldschool wow video i remember from the times i was a kid playing wow 😀 great job, really even though it might have not even been intentional:D had to check the date of the video couple of times as I couldnt believe its so recent:D
The singing at the end really adds to the video!
Well chosen!
HAVE MERCY 🤡
That isn't high elf architecture, it's ancient night elf architecture. It was probably co-opted by their high elf descendants in the Eastern Kingdoms, and it's possible the early buildings they made were in the same style, but the buildings in Hyjal are night elf and had absolutely nothing to do with the high elves.
0:40 ahh i remember ganking here. so much horde died here and i had much fun.
WoW, is the only game in the world that create the best ideas and the worst ideas, throw the best away like "na that was dumb", and keep the worst like "hey, that seems promising !"
Ideas were tossed around all the time. Orges for Horde, or Furbolg. To claim High Elves were a cancelled faction is just silly. I'm sure at one point Blizzard seriously considered it, just like other race ideas, but they did that with a range of concepts. These things were never set in stone.
I guess in that short window, someone realized that if the alliance got high elves, it would destroy faction population balance permanently lol
It would have been so cool if Theramore could have been a neutral city. I think I read once that Blizz decided it wouldn't work because of the boats, that it would be too easy for Horde players to access Alliance cities if they could just walk freely through Theramore. If so, it's crazy how such a major part of the lore was changed by a game balance decision. Though I suppose a lot about WoW is like that.
And now they exist at an alliance race in TWoW
Very interesting
