Some quests are extremely hard or virtually impossible to complete. In this video we explore a quest that literally can not be completed!
This video is part of a series called: WoW – History
You are welcome to check out my channel for the full playlist 🙂
The story of this quest starts all the way back in the beta, and came into the game in two different iterations, depending on player allegiance. Everything surrounding this quest is pretty unique and interesting!
I hope you learned something new and enjoyed this video!

Love your videos! Please keep up the amazing work! : D <3
I think it might be worth adding TTS that reads out each piece of text, I think it would make it more engaging
I love the videos, keep it up! ❤
Note that small fonts can be hard to read on a cellphone screen.
I remember years ago reading in a magazine talking to the wow devs how there were quests nobody had completed. Always wondered what quests they were referring to. Probably not this one seeing as it was (seemingly) accidentally implemented.
First time I’ve ever seen this quest! Been playing for almost 20 years! Loved the content, also, What’s the name of the first song?
I started playing in patch 1.6 lol
I think I once saw this item 😀
This reminds me of that one rare drop quest start item off that one VERY strong named Chimera on the Isle of Dread …
Love your video’s! Unique and interesting. Keep up the great work 😊
Love these videos more more more!
Videos like yours realy want me to have a Vanilla Classic + where they actually finish content like this.
I remember, back in TBC when I started, people would share these kinds of unobtainable quests. I don't know how they obtained them, but there would be these random unimplemented quests titled [NIY] or [TEST]. I had a few of them on my main character, but Blizz did purge them in Cataclysm.
One of the more notorious one was the "Clayton's Quest: Extreme!!" quest which requires you to kill 255 squirells on GM Island. A lot of people have heard of this quest, and a lot of people have had this quest shared to them. It was removed in WoD.
But what most people don't know off is the quest "Darren's Bombing Run of Awesomeness", which appeared sometime in WoD and was quickly removed a few weeks after it was implimented. Accepting this quest would play a little cutscene and put you in a vehicle above Ashran. Sharing this quest was an obscure way to surprise and troll other players.
OMG that silly Bird killed ME more than a few times back in the day. I even went back and killed it after hitting 60 a few times. Don't remember ever seeing it's box tho….. weird….
I hated leveling in the Badlands, all those patrolling mobs were a huge pain.
I find it very interesting that it was not added in classic 2019, despite everything. At least the alliance one.
I completely forgot about this until this video popped up. I remember having this drop, but I can't remember much else about it. I vaguely remember checking forums/websites but nobody knew much. Must have destroyed it or else it's tucked in the corner of a bank somewhere. Must check and see
I've binged a ton of "did you know?" And obscure secrets videos on vanilla.
But I've never heard of this one. Nice!
Also, it's fuckin crazy that blizzard would rather remove the quest rather than actually finish it.
Meanwhile you have private servers that will finish whole areas and add new quests. It doesn't seem that hard if amateurs can do it
Wow Thousand Needles…crazy zone.
WTF never heard the song but i know the lyrics O.O
Cool, i never knew about this! Some speculation on the quest….you loot a "black box" which for Alliance is turned in to a pilot. Which means its probably a black box like they have in planes. Normally these are retrieved when a plane crashes. So maybe a dwarven plane crashed, and the bird killed the pilots? Or even caused the plane to crash. Interesting to think about!
