Hi !

There once was a boss encounter so hard that it originally outlived its own expansion. While this hardmode boss is not very well known, it does have an interesting history

This video is part of my playlist called “WoW – History” which can be found on my channel

I hope you find this video interesting and thank you for watching 🙂

  1. I'm sorry to say, I can't understand a good few of the words said. As another comment said, talking a bit slower and focusing on enunciating clearly would boost the content tenfold!
Would also help boost video length for Youtube's algorithm/ad monetization.
    Keep it up!

  2. In the vast and ever-evolving world of World of Warcraft, where countless heroes rise and fall, claiming an undefeated boss is a feat that cannot be proclaimed with certainty. Blizzard Entertainment, the masterminds behind the game, continuously introduce new challenges, mechanics, and strategies to keep players engaged. Each boss encounter presents a unique set of complexities that require teamwork, adaptability, and skill to overcome. While some bosses may have proven formidable adversaries to date, the dynamic nature of the game ensures that future expansions and updates may introduce even more daunting foes. In the realm of World of Warcraft, the only certainty is that victory is hard-earned and elusive, and no claim of an undefeated boss can stand unchallenged.

  3. Wow, I never expected this to actually be possible given the mechanics, and thought that if it was possible, it would be a raid full of hunters and paladins – the Paladins would be the tanks and the healers, and the hunters the DPS with the most frequent threat wipes. The boss would go from healer to healer who were able to reasonably tank in plate and a shield, while the hunters could feign death often enough that they'd be able to stay below the highest threat healer. I don't know if this was ever tried and found not viable, or if you simply couldn't get enough paladins and hunters interested in it enough to try it out.

I failed to consider just how high warrior DPS could get, and how warriors could reasonably tank in DPS gear given the consumables available, that you could just bring a ton of them and just get enough DPS so that you don't run out of tanks before the threat wipes make the boss start eating healers.

  4. Classic WoW players would have smashed original C'Thun. The damage being done by players with 15 years of experience was considered impossible in Vanilla. Full World Buffs, stacked raids, optimal comps, full consumes, 40 min / maxed raiders playing optimal speccs…Blizz wasnt capable of making a raid back then that current players wouldn't smash. Took until late Wrath / Cata to make truly max difficulty bosses.
