The War Within pre-event shows Azeroth having a serious case of nostalgia with memories popping up across the surface. Threats of the past imagined or otherwise are a real threat all the same so rise up heroes and pop your member berries… I hope you’ll enjoy ^_^

I would believe, that there is a connection between Ragnaros and Thrall in Cataclysm. Where Thrall accidantlly summoned Ragnaros. Which triggered the whole stuff with the Firelands.
I think the bosses are meant to be reflections important to Jaina, Anduin, Moira and Thrall.
Weren't xal'atath messing with the past in SoD?
So what the heck does the title refer to? That one tidbit of Grim Batol? That's it? The rest is pretending that this unimaginative fun is an actual lore? Come the heck on, surely you can't throat Blizzard's stick that hard. Is there even a point when you say enough is enough or is everything they spit out a sacred unquestionable gospel?
Like cmon, this is clearly just some bs to pass the time, even the Magni randomly being blasted before saying the important stuff is cliche dumbness turned to 11. Can't you take more fitting aproach? Parody, sarcasm, meta commentary, double-down on rp, guidebook turned comedy, viewer interaction, overall picture/mood…anything other than the same serious take used for an actual lore.
Imagine if Xal atath would have been made the Jailor and all this build up no would lead us to go to Shadlowlands in the end.
Sorry about shutting down yalls book recommendations the other day. Sometimes my sarcastic side wins. Down, boy! Down!
If I remember correctly, the Icecrown Citadel is made of Saronite, the Blood of Yog-Saron. I feel like there was some theories back in Wrath that Yog-Saron was manipulating the Lich King to some degree to facilitate its escape, but I'm not sure. So there does seem to be a tenuous connection to the void.
So she’s another Jailer?
@Nobel87, I have a theory, i believe the Dark Heart is actually the Karesh equivalent to the Heart of Azeroth, somehow brought here by X'alatath in ages past. Maybe that is how Neltharion was corrupted, by studying it ? He might have made the dragon soul after it. Also, what if when we "destroy" N'zoth, we actually allow him some access into the chamber of the heart since that is where that beam comes from, or N'zoth is in the dagger and he will do as X'alatath did, N'zoth is certainly not dead.
So, a few things I found interesting.
1. Out of everything that gets "remembered" The Twilights Hammer gets oddly forgotten by Azeroth. Why not add in void cult going into a Void expansion.
2. I feel like Azeroth is pulling from our memories somehow due to some of these events being EXTREMELY trivial. STV pages, Hogger, Deviate Delights, and others all seem more tied to our player experience than with Azeroth's core memory
I have a theory that K'aresh wasn't just devoured by Dimensius. I think Dimensius was the world soul inside of K'aresh.
I think Xal'atath, or some other harbinger, successfully turned him over to the void and the devouring was basically just an automatic process as the world soul woke up and the void energies consumed and destroyed everything in its path.
Weirdly, Xal is not evil to my way of thinking. She's a Void creature (maybe). That is what they do. And the Titans screwed up by ordering some of the Void. This is Titan chickens coming home to roost.
And the stuff she instigated…all of those shown were overly ambitious people who wanted more and more power with no responsibility to balance it out. It's why we give leaders power but insist they be ethical, and keep order and good at the forefront of their decisions. Otherwise, you vote them out or overthrow them. To the real-life counterparts, money, drugs, sex and power are all Xal'atath.
She gave them the means, perhaps, but it was all of their actions after, and their innermost desires. She just helped them be made manifest. To me, being angry at Xal is like being angry with fire. It must be controlled, used to our benefit and studied, but it just "is".
this game doesn't deserve you anymore.
I'll get thrashed for this but I mean, Lich king was created way after Zovaal saw this "threat" on the way, ( most likely voidlords and cosmological war), so lich king wouldnt exist in the first place if Zovaal didn't go mad and was imprisoned within maw, he captured master of domination magic and created the mourneblades. So Lich king is still somehow connected to the void because those events happened way earlier before even Ner'zhul was in plan apparently.
P.s: I still ride Primus being the mastermind behind Jailer theory, it all fits so well perfectly as it was Blizzard's original plan for the Shadowlands expansion. Even before expac reveal the concept art of Jailer indicates more Primus relevancy then Zovaal.
Other then that everything Zovaal did from being the Arbiter to being imprisoned in the maw and capturing "runecarver" doesnt make 1 bit sense.
Guy has no domination magic whatsoever, only confirmed figure in Warcraft universe that has created domination magic and can use it is Primus, the master tactician of Shadowlands… and he lost to bald arbiter in the place he imprisoned him within and already carved domination runes onto his body? gtf o man, it was always weird, even when shadowlands was live back then during 9.1.
Just remember….
"Vassal of life disguises treachery, beware the eyes of green" – LL'GYNOTH 8.3 , PATCH RIGHT BEFORE SHADOWLANDS RELEASE (Ofc zovaal was "treacherous" one in SL since he "betrayed" his brothers and sisters)… just let that sink in
NGL, given all the non-related things like Hoggers, the Stranglethorn stuff, etc, I don't think it's worth reading too much into.
IMO it's just another serving of nostalgia bait like Blizz has made a habit of in recent years. If you tried making a list of what iconic memorable things come to mind when you ask a veteran WoW player, these are pretty much a full bingo.
Trying to attach it to current events is stretching it a bit, in my humble opinion.
EDIT: Also, if it truly was related to the Old Gods, or even Azeroth herself, I don't think they'd limit it to the events of Vanilla-to-now. Because it's such a tiny stretch of history that completely ignores the truly memorable and important things that took place in the world. The Sundering, the Black Empire, the war between Old Gods and Titans, etc. Heck, even Sargeras' stab of Azeroth should be there.
I’d love to be able to play the pre-expansion event. Literally every time one of the big memories spawns and I’m within range, my game crashes. By the time I get back in the game, the memory has already been killed OR I’m dead. Like I know I have an older computer, but it shouldn’t crash just by having people play the game near me.
Honestly, I believe one of the reasons why Lich King and the Yogg connection makes sense is… the fact that we go to Ulduar for the third expansion of the worldsoul saga. There's DEFINITELY something latent being there, and Northrend was no accident.
As much as I like supporting my favorite content creators, I would love a way to enjoy the lore of WoW in the actual game. I just got done my playthrough of the dragonflight story (which somehow I accidentily did out of order) and needed to watch like 45 minutes of Nobbel videos to understand what just happened and to kind of understand stuff going into TWW. On top of that, fact that blizzard is doing emotional storytelling, adding depth to these characters seems like a good idea at times, but often times it flew straight over my head when I dont really know who a person is or what happened to make them feel sad or hopeless. When it hits, it hits, but other times when I was missing context I felt like I was eavesdropping on some strangers private therapy sessions.
I just think these bosses were chosen out of nostalgia, popularity, and their memes…
God, that feels so good to just hear the "hello everyone" it's been too long
I really hope that Blizzard has learnt not to force in the new big bad in as the architect of previous events.
I like wow. It has cool stories. I just don’t like most wow players, they’re too depressing and angry and sensitive. Just enjoy or leave the game, motherfuckers. ♥️💯💩
That looks pretty cool. I may actually play this.
So, did Xal'atath manipulate the Jailer too? Is the next expansion after this one gonna be about a 100D Chess master manipulator whose master plan included her?
not spending penny for blizzard anymore
i know noble cannot say anything about it cause blizzard checking him
bro it's not worth anymore
I appreciate the work to try to connect all the events but I think its just a bushel of ‘member berries
This game become promoter of wierd stuff and WARR SUPPORTER, dont care wich side, dont belong in gaming world.
when politic shet enter to game you know its over, forcing some colors and woman with beard, COUPLE MOTHS AGO THERE WAS PET FOR UKRAINE
wow is rip, when become focused on promoting own opinions about real world and not focused on game, there is no comeback
Multiverse shit is so creatively bankrupt, but everyone has to do it now.
Truly the Zombie Trend of the 2020s
The Legion returns in Worldsoul Saga, supporting and empowering the Warlocks 😈😈💪💪
All against Xal'atath 😉
Stormwind and Orgrimmar are getting Class Order Halls in the second expansion from the Worldsoul Saga
Wow community: “the Jailor being behind literally everything in the wow universe is stupid.”
Also wow community: “omg Xal’atath might have been behind literally everything in the wow universe.”
Here’s the rule:
Things are not planned for more than 2 expansions ahead of time.
The doing away with Murozond in a dungeon should tell you that.
The pre-launch event explained at 5:50 is heavily outdated.
Anyone else getting this thing where the event bosses switch to demonic language? Is it just a bug or should I be reading into it?
It's a place called ahhhhhhhhhhhhegegg… Anyone else think of Monty and the holy Grail…
