  1. I don't understand why Day9 doesn't have a box that regularly shows up on screen to explain the no backseating rules. Some people can't help themselves but others might just be new and not read chat until they have something to say.

  2. Heh, it's amusing that Sean is going on about how he has to find stuff by reading, and yet this is the game that ruined all games, because quest helper…

  3. It's amazing that this little indie company went so far as to give you the disconnects you'd get for playing the game in the first week at release for a true classic experience!

  4. Regarding all of that "clean code" discussion, as I've grown older I tended to abide by two rules (that are kinda the same thing): YAGNI and KISS. "You aint gonna need it" (dont solve maybe problems) and "keep it simple, stupid" (dont overengineer for no reason)

  5. Careful Sean, mmorpgs are the hard drugs of gaming..
The ones that are good like wow can easily get you hooked and end up consuming years of your life.
Ask any wow player, most won't tell you they regret it, but most won't downplay how addicting they can be. It really only takes a small thing like making a friend in game to get hooked in for the long haul.

  6. I like how WoW alowed Sean to ignore his optimization OCD. There are more efficient ways to do everything he did an he could have figured them out himself right away, like the whole kiting thing. But he wouldn't have it, content with chill.
