  1. If they wanted is to turn against Sylvanas they should have had a loyalist quest at the end of bfa where sylvanas betrayed them and tried to kill them. She was killing everyone anyway. We could have been summoned with other loyalists (npcs) to Sylvanas only to be ambushed and barely escape (all loyalist npcs die). We follow our assasins to find them reporting to nathanos who we overhear saying the dark lady will be pleased that her loose ends are tied up or something…

  2. I know it is something a lot of people want, people are invested and attached to Arthas and his story. Personally I do not believe every character needs redemption. Arthas was clearly manipulated but he did heinous things before ever picking up Frostmourne or putting the Helm of Domination on. If he was re-introduced and he did some more shady things, I'd be all for it, though. Maybe making a power play to become the new Jailer of the Maw.

  3. BFA last content patch 8.3 until shadowlands prepatch was the longest empty shell of wow content, except if you are into grinding n grinding all the way until it becomes obselete.

  4. Sea of Thieves player here (in addition to WoW, of course). I’m SO THRILLED with SoT build your own content philosophy. I don’t even want to wear half of the cosmetics offered in SoT, but I still want to amass enough gold to buy everything I can because the experience is fun as hell. Player power in SoT isn’t a thing (just getting better as a player of the game) so cosmetics are all that there are. It’s wild to me how engaging a game can be with so little additional content added to the game. This isn’t to say that SoT isn’t releasing new content on the regular, it’s just that the content updates they do add tend to just make the game better rather than push people to do things completely differently like wow does with expansion releases.

  5. Net worth and Salary: Robert " is an American businessman and CEO of Activision and Blizzard who has a net worth of $600 million. That's your problem. He laid off a whole bunch of workers while he made $200 million this past season. When he does that the quality will go down.

  6. Love your content, always great! I think what Blizz is really GOOD at is taking a great character, which has been built up, even accidentally so in some cases where they are simply standing next to the right/wrong person in a previous xpack handing out quests so they get noticed, and then utterly obliterating said character. If they don't completely trash them on the first go, such as Arthas, or Illidan, they are willing to bring them back and re-obliterate them later so long as they drag the character so deeply through the mud whilst jumping every possible shark that there is nothing but the remains of a great meme left

  7. what if Arthas is as pissed off at the jailer/the situation as Sylvanus is? If he is being tortured in the maw for what he did do while under the influence of domination magic then the good part of him would fight back and join sylvanus to help defeat what took their "choice" away.

  8. The Sylvanas Loyalist Story was a story that should never be started. From the beginning of the story it was absolutly clear that at one point the story must end. MMos must have one story for every player. So the Sylvanas loyalist campaign could never work, it was a huge mistake to start it.
Imho Blizzards error was that they thought that it was absolutly clear that following Sylvanas is wrong. And that they made it clearer with every quest. But they underestamite by far the "attraction of evil".

  9. Perhaps we loyalist were supposed to feel betrayed when Sylvanas 1) called us nothing or 2) Left us to die to N’Zoth.
Then there was the interview where we were told Sylvanas would share her true intentions (likely 3) the Anduin conversations) and then in 9.1 where she’ll be trying to delay us.
Still. She has said and done nothing to break my loyalty to her. I don’t think many of us trust her partner Zooval, but we would still leave our covenants to help the cause. The ends justify the means … to a point. There’s still too much mystery around Zoovals situation to trust anyone in the Shadowlands.

  10. I think blizzard is Pro at character development but when it comes to the payoff they suck balls.

P.S. Referring to the Legion patch cycle, I personally thought 77 days was too fast. I still missed out on 2 of the mage tower appearances rouge/druid because I didn't have time to level those 2 classes. I think the 77 day patch cycle is only relevant for people who only have 1 or 2 characters. Main and alt but for everyone else it felt rushed. My 2cents.

  11. Imo I don't want arthas redeemed. The reason is simply it's not who arthas is. Before u burn torches, lemme explain. In interviews we have heard that the jailer could influence but wasn't in the driver's seat so to speak. That was arthas. The reason arthas became the lich king was due alot to his own arrogance and vanity. Ner'zhul wanted to use arthas and take over his body but arthas didn't let that happen. Instead he got rid of the shaman. So this means the actions arthas took, while influenced by the jailer, was still his doing at the end of the day. Maybe he's pissed at zovaal for using him and that would give him a reason to help us, ok but a full on redemption? Naw that would kinda ruin who arthas really was

  12. Arthas is Blizzards “In case of emergency, break glass” safety net. They will use him forcefully, when they need him. If they screw that up, things will be bleak.

  13. Umm please stop posting videos bashing blizzard for minutes on end. I can’t believe content creators think anyone wants to hear this anymore. Good content is getting diminished by it these days when people care about the game more than the company. Unless you’re talking about bobby kotick directly lol

  14. Blizzard does stories of Redemption, and stories of Forgiveness. Kael'thas is currently going on a Redemption story, he is the focus and the moving party, where at the end of his journey he will see his choices in the past as wrong. A story of forgiveness is something we saw with Jaina and her mother; where Jaina is the focus and a fixed party. Her actions in the past didn't need to be judged rather her people had to forgive her.

I have always wanted to see Arthas have a story of Forgiveness. His first major domino moment of going down a dark and evil path was the culling of stratholme, when he was seen as a traitor by his peers and decided to forsake his friends in the pursuit of Mal'ganis. But I always ask myself, "was he wrong". Yeah, he was willing to kill his own citizens, but was his analysis of the situation was legit. The citizens were sick, were going to die, and if left to their own vises going to bolster the undead army. Had he not lost Uther and Jaina completely they could have kept him sane and kept him focused. Possibly changing the outcome of everything regarding Arthas and the Lich King. He doesn't need to be forgiven for everything, certainly some deeds were his own, but just let others like Jaina and Uther (as both are active characters in this expansion) see and admit the fault they contributed.

  15. The Loyalist storyline felt a bit like, Blizz thinking "hey this is a cool idea, lets do this" – only to think 3 seconds later "oh holy sh** what have we done??!" It was an interesting storyline, with interesting quirks (like that Sylvanas knew that Baine would be rescued and by whom), but it fell flat on its face. Like too many other stories (Shattrath in AU Dreanor comes to mind, too: Shatt was the bloody main city hub in TBC and Blizz just let it drop!? What were you thinking??? – Yes, it was for Legion, but still!) it felt lackluster at best, it started strong and interesting only to deeply disappoint in the end. You try and keep your hopes up for some big reveal… but nope, not happening. At the end of the loyalist story you know as much as you did before and it was completely inconsequential and no different from the other line (hell, I even beat up Eitrigg for his execution and afterwards he says something like "ah well, you were brainwashed, all good, son" – like… what the heck?!).
Arthas… Sorry, I dont need Arthas. He was an incredible character, very well written, very well executed. His story was a WoW gem. Bringing him back, re-writing him to be a poor little manipulated boy (yes, he was manipulated but many choices were still his own: we had to think ourself, what woud YOU do if you were in his shoes?) would just ruin it. Arthas doesnt need redemption: he had one hell of a complicated situation on his hands and he did what he thought was the best course of action. End of story. Same with Sylvanas btw: she doesnt need and certainly doesnt want any redemption. Least of all from us, the player character.

  16. Can Arthas's redemption work? Maybe over two patches. One, where he is freed of the Jailer's influence, the other where he shows who he now is. Him just getting back to Paladin would be a waste. Him remaining evil and needed to be put down would also be a repetition.

Given that he stood under the influcence of another force, he may belong to the Venthir, but does anyone think this system still stands at the end of the expansion? Was it ever fair, if Lady Vash is free, while Kael'thas not? Let him be a Death Knight with his own agenda. Maybe he seeks to undo a bit of what he did in life. Maybe he tries to work as Death's agent to do this. Who knows. The meaning and need for redemption always is open for discussion.

Four things I wish for it though:
    1) Him fighting alongside Uther. Pupil and Mentor, changed and fighting together one last time.
    2) Him speaking with Callia and Jaina. Just to show a bit of his human side.
    3) Him grabbing a reforged Frostmourne, saying "Frostmourne still hungers".
    4) Him fighting Anduin … Two fallen Princes(Kings?) this would be so epic!

  17. Well PVP is still lacking in the open world
Especially balancing PVP and PVE gear in a way that PVP geared players can have a good fighting chance against mythic raiders
I don't think Blizzard ever figured out this issue
Side note: no need for open world pvp content, just gear balancing
