After the umpteenth ridiculous change in Shadowlands Asmongold is now convinced Blizzard devs absolutely don’t know what they are doing and the well received delay will now not bring the changes that everyone was hoping for. In this particular video Asmongold goes over the new change that makes Covenant Abilities to be Disabled Outside of Shadowlands Content, but the list of stupid change to the new expansion is so much longer…

  1. Im writing down ideas for a CUSTOMIZATION heavy mmorpg. NO CLASSES. You design your own class from a massive list of abilities and talents. These talents then give you titles that you will be able to use to create your OWN class names. Everyone can have a unique build. Thousands of viable builds. Im thinking about going public with it because i want the community to basically help build the game. We can create the perfect mmo. the "WoW Killer". a game that is everything WoW SHOULD have been. HMU if yall got ideas. Ive already put like 40 hrs of work into the game mechanics. The Ideas are just coming to me like magic.

  2. Let's see. I'm listening to this as my BDO ship is out bartering so I can build a bigger ship and I'm casually playing WOW classic while the ship sails from one bartering place to another. There's plenty of games out there. WOW hasn't been that great for years.

  3. Sometimes you just need to let it go. I played since vanila. I loved the game, but the phylosophy of "fix one thing that dont work by breaking two things that work" was fundamentaly flawed since BC. Now we just see the critical mass of dumb changes overwhelming the game completely.

  4. they basically impacting the toys restriction of continents to abilities, which is sad. I think the toy stuff should be equally free everywhere, but the power of new stuff really transcends the powers they are ready to deal with, so the restriction comes down. Perhaps once the content of Shadowlands is tamed and the first lvl 60s get geared a bit, they would ift these restrictions. It's possible they do stupid things like that for publicity, to make people upset and get them talking but later lift the restriction with enough player response.

  5. The community: The game is going to shit, it’s failures constantly
The “failures” in question: You cannot use afterlife based ability when you are not in the afterlife

  6. the only way you can truly show the blizard devs how you feel is by not playing the game. If people keep buying subscriptions blizzard will never change.

  7. Hey Asmon, it sucks major ass to see a game you love and cherish doing shit like this. If you decide to keep playing the game through shadowlands I support you, but if you decide to put your sights on games like GuildWars one, GuildWars two or ashes of creation I also support you bro. Personally I never played WOW because I could never pay the sub until now (I was less than a year old when WOW originally launched.) And I would love to play it but seeing how the games base game is and how these newer expansions are being handled I don’t want to commit. I’ve been playing GuildWars two since early 2016 and recently started playing GuildWars one, and also have my eye on Ashes of Creation. Good luck with you future man, best of wishes!

  8. I would not mind if they just remove Covenant abilities totally.. but thats just me. What i would like even more is if blizz took their heads out of the asses they put in in.. blizzard seems like a bunch of donkeys.

  9. I guess Blizzard wants to tie "abilities" to Shadowlands area. Gear and Weapons are physical objects which Blizzard seems to deem not tied to areas and can freely, physically move anywhere in time or places.
Like it or not, that's how they chose to make the lore work, and have the abilities tied to Shadowlands since that's where you're going to learn them from.
I think they're slowly making changes to the game which will eventually add in-game style road blocks so they can turn it into a monetization "pay to win".

  10. Just get out while the getting is good. You're only going to get more and more disappointed. I quit after Cataclysm and I'm glad I did. They've driven the game into the ground. Ion is a fucking moron and the developer team is too proud and stubborn to use any of the feedback veterans give. If you want to do skill based games jump into rogue-likes. Give Hades a shot. It's fucking awesome and the game is really well made. I've dumped sixty-six hours into it so far and I haven't heard the same thing twice.
