  1. Level raise with new zones – bad idea. People don't want that. They want new zones and content in addition to the existing. Use 20 years of experience to improve existing content. Maybe slight balance to classes. Harder instances.

  2. Metzen back is at least confirmed, I don't think he would be there to work on retail, he would be there to drive classic+ to the next phase and from Blizzards' view the market is big enough to justify building on it.
If they are going to raise the level cap, they would have to scale the existing raids to level 70, I do not see this as a bad thing it just opens up more talents and abilities. Raising the level cap imo is fine as long as it is done right. Super hyped for ogres, the code already exists for them as they were supposed to be added in Cata but instead got goblins..

Finish Uldum questline and make it a raid.
    Finish the Ashbringer questline/story

  3. They should keep the level cap but introduce new content and items that will fix some of the broken classes so that every spec can raid end game. More quirky items, new battle grounds and pvp progression, and solo only epic quest chains ect. Also forget ogres and high elves, bring in Murlocs and Goblins.

  4. Most people don't want a change to levels. If Classic+ exist, imho they should absolutely just have new leveling zones, new dungeons, new raids, but no additional level increases and loss of armor and weapons.

  5. level cap is dumb. loot and level meta has always been a broke approach from wow devs. It's like there's some producer behind the scenes that thinks big numbers keeps players interested.
Make magic items interesting by adding interesting effects and very hard to get. If a weapon is really powerful, it should be super super rare and not exclusively achievable to social craft.

  6. I play both classic and retail. Love both, for dif reasons. Things that are great in one would be terrible for another. Example: Transmog. I love transmog in retail. Spend lots of time collecting and making cool appearances… the downside though is there is no more wow factor when you see other players, or even looking at your own toon. A level 20 looks just as cool as a mythic raider… In classic I have really enjoyed lately seeing people and saying, "Wow, that guy has the ___. Damn!" or "Holy sh*t, that guy has killed ___, what a legend"… xmog is one of the many things that was a great idea for a lot of reasons, but also eroded the RPG aspects of the game. You just don't feel like an adventurer going on quests and doing epic deeds when everyone looks like a glowing fully-geared superhero all the time.

Imo xmog would be bad for classic, and I hope they would never add it to a classic+. There are now so many appearances that are insanely easy to get it ruins the motivation to get appearances too… for example, that new legendary coming in DF 10.2 looks really cool, ngl, but I can also just go 1 shot every boss in Mythic Nighthold and look just as cool.

  7. I hope it's not high elves because they will become more than 50% of the playerbase. It's nice seeing a hodgepodge in classic. And I say this as someone whose main is a blood elf and love the blood elves… but there are way too many of them and I think the same would happen with high elves.

  8. NO Cataclysm in Classic. The major appeal of Classic is playing the the old world prior to Cataclysm. Caata is also where they trashed the original talent system. Classic ENDs with Wrath!
