Imo people should get suspended at least. At least for like a few weeks or even a few months.
I can see that banning first time offenders (Or at least people that are being caught for the first time) might be a bit too much. But a suspension should be the minimum, ESPECIALLY in classic. In retail you can buy gold from Blizz anyways, so the crime is not as bad as in classic.

Resetting gold and confiscating items isn't enough. If you break the TOS in this way, your account should be permanently closed. No mercy.

Just demand a fine. Lower their gold cap, to raise their gold cap they have to pay a fine of x gold. Also an effective way to curb inflation.

I opted out of playing SOD because I knew it would quickly become tainted by bots and the people who rely on them. ef em' both tbh and the only reason soda was not banned is because he's one of blizzards largest billboards. still waiting for a real solution for bots/rmt to be implemented before i even think about playing classic again though (and not the wow token haha.)
