  1. Was this Conduit energy system really necessary? Especially considering they are obviously in need of resources to get the xpac released? Just bite the bullet and let conduits be freely swappable so your team can focus on making the game actually playable dear god.

  2. Swapping conduits do not effect the blizzard devs. It's fucking stupid they are being so restrictive cause the top 1 percent of raiders would go back and four twerking shit per boss and trash. Fucking let them no one cares.

  3. The energy system is still terrible. I do the big 3 PVP mythic+ and mythic raiding. I might as well just level 3 of the same character. Why should Iq not be able to swap pvp spec after raid pvp for the day then go back to raiding the next night.

  4. I'm gonna be honest, I miss just playing the game without all of these "borrowed power" new systems that just feel needlessly convoluted and overly complex that we'll never see again after the current expansion regardless. I'd much rather the dev team just focus on meaningful content to play through and enjoy rather than worry about all of this stuff. I've been playing since Burning Crusade, so it's not a new idea or anything, I'm just tired of it.

  5. The whiners have won once again. I liked the fact that you cant change your conduit easily. That would have needed some thought before you choose. Would you be more connected to the conduit, but now its just like a talent that you can change whenever you like it. (ok not that easy but i hope you get what i mean by that). Like in the last years in all games, whining got bigger and they hear more and more to them and change things. Sick of it.

  6. I don't understand why tf Blizzard spent so much energy building this energy system, they just added another flawed system for what? Exactly what are they trying to counter balance? With all the balls they are trying to juggle, just let us reset our conduits in a rest area (or in the convenant hq if they wish) and be done with it.

  7. Give players 2 energy a day with a cap of 14. That should be enough for the average player and enough to allow players to do some experimenting if they want while still punishing people who go apeshit min/maxing for every single fight.

That being said though Blizzard are idiots and shouldnt be trying to balance the game around the absurd behaviors of the top 1% and punishing everyone else.

  8. The fact they postponed with no warning, tells me it wasnt planned, which means they didnt have the foresight to see their power systems causing these problems. They clearly thought they could make them work but no. They go into panic mode and change the release date. This wasnt out of consideration for giving the players a finely polished and finished game. This was out of sheer stupidity that they couldnt make their systems work and had to get more time to achieve it. I dont think they can at this point. All they had to do was to give the classes their core power back and any external power could of simply been tier sets. Im not hyped anymore for this expac. Im actually looking at this to be still a broken piece of crap that is going to be horrible to play. And if thats the case, i wont be hanging around for the next one or having to wait on so many patches to try and fix it. It should be in perfect working order on release.

  9. "Everyone will have something to be good/happy about".

You forgot that some people dont play for fun but to see big numbers and thats the game about for these people. They want to excek in everything and will always complain about something.

  10. @SignsOfKelani I agree but at the same time in an MMO it's just how it is now. There is always going to be a meta and it seems like blizzard is trying to eliminate it instead of embrace it

  11. I'm more than happy with the change in Conduits… I don't want them to be a free swap, because they will end like reforging.
And most of us know the SHITFEST that was having to reforge all your gear just to make room for an Item that was supposed to be an Upgrade

  12. This is an ez fix. Make the soul bind and conduit "loadouts" saved for each spec. Set you soulbind for one spec. And when you switch specs your conduits switch to match your current spec without costing conduit charges

  13. im imagining the whole raid waiting for 1 or 2 guys reseting the conduits and porting to town after everyboss or some shit like that. study the stupid system, make a choice, play an alt. flexing the system is good, that would feel great when you make a choice that you dont like and CAN switch, free changing makes any choice meaningless and i hope they never allow it.

  14. I think the community will need to align their perception on Soulbinds & Conduits to what the Devs want. There will be less loot, less generalization and more specialization in Shadowlands than ever before. The Devs do not want a single player to be 'optimal' at every portion of the game. Players want to be optimal in whatever they choose to do. There will need to be a middle ground of understanding and this energy system is closer to that middle. We will not get everything we want since we're not developing the game. We can tell them what we'd like and they will iterate towards a compromise that favors their design.

  15. Can you refund a shadowlands pre purchase? This expansion looks terrible. Have to grind for 40+ hours a week per toon, and you still can't pve and pvp in the same week still if you have different covonents for the respective content….

  16. Takeing them off cooldown is one of the worst moves, cool so now we’ll get people who switch spec on a dime and won’t be great at anything but ok at everything. Dps switching to tanks with 0 knowlege of the dungeons, and wipeing groups because of it. Pick something and stay with it.

  17. Conduit change is one step forward two steps back. It’s not as bad as it was before, but it’s still absurd that there’s a restriction at all. Their reasoning is the worst part, as they can’t see past their own noses on why this is just going to suck. Just let us play the game.

  18. What if they removed the conduit restrictions, and then installed a 15 minute cooldown on being able to make conduit changes? Like, you make your change(s) and commit them, and then it starts the timer. That way you can respec once or twice for a dungeon if you need to, but you're not respeccing every fight.

  19. I think kelani is right about why they have changed the system this way but what’s so annoying is how it feels like all the cata mistakes where blizzard is laser focused only on the highest level raiding players. I have no idea how they can possibly convince themselves that restricting players encourages exploration! I main ww monk and with the Shadowlands changes I was considering trying bm for dungeons and raids but because I also prefer ww for pvp I basically can’t if it’s my main. If I plan to raid with my ww monk I may not even be able to pvp at all because the build will be wrong. This is the first expansion I personally have felt such high pressure to use alts and I honestly think someone at my level: mediocre skill, about 10-20 hours available to play a week: is the new average

  20. I think the problem is that the dev team, or certain members therein, want the game to be more like an D&D RPG, however the game is more of an Action-Adventure RPG. It is game play driven. All of these choices are forced, arbitrary, and take away for the game play by being restrictive to the player freedom. The developers time should be focused on balancing class specs and PVE/PVP instead of forcing these choices that will lock us into certain roles. All of this makes no sense from a game play perspective. We are already going to play the story that was set out in front of us. Why do we have to be locked into any aspect of the game beyond the class we chose to play? What is even more insulting is you know in like patch 9.2 or 9.3 all of the covenants are going to come together to fight the maw anyways. Why can't we, the player, be allowed to help all of the covenants, but can only agree to the power of one as having multiple powers would be too overwhelming to our mortal bodies/souls? And let us freely change this. Shoot. Even making it a daily CD is better than this. I think the community understands what blizz is trying to do here, but it just does not work from a game play perspective.
