  1. I love the covenants but the abilities are extremely frustrating, especially when i go into Nathria and get outperformed by a lower Ilvl Pally just because he chose kyrian -_-

  2. Going through everything, "Kirian ability seems pretty good for Warriors"

Gets into maldraxus, the fucking banner, thematically great, absolutely useless though.

Night Fae, not quite kirian, but it has it's niche (Best covenant ability btw)

Venthyr, hey what if EXECUTE, was cooler.

I think about 2 minutes into unlocking Condemn i was sold.

Damn shame most of my other characters want Venthyr.

  3. I went with an against the stream covenant for a frost mage – necrolords. Mainly because I got engaged with Draka, Vashj and the other characters… And also because changing to venthyr later seems pretty easy if I change my mind.

  4. They are lying. Player engagement is not subscribers. If it was subs, they would say subs. If they've sold 3.7 million units, they have that many subs plus Classic only subs. We can safely assume that their numbers post-SL release are about half what they were a decade ago, and pre-SL release were maybe a third of that. They're completely full of it.

  5. I choose my covenant because it fits with my class fantasy. It was quite painful though because during lvling up I noticed iI liked the power of a diffrent covenant better, but I couldn't get it. Just have the same abilities avalible for all covenants but with their own unique visuals.

  6. On the covenant question: I went with what had, imo, the best astethics and spells. venthyr is second highest for my class (resto shaman) next to necrolords. And started doing Castle nathria i can see why necro is better. But boy oh boy do i NOT like maldraxxus at ALL! And the same goes for the necrolords. I think i'm simply to damaged by end of WoD and Legions color scheme. I can't take looking at another gray/green zone again after all that time i spent in them before

  7. I don't know how Bellular can even remotely believe that 'player engagement' means 'subscriptions'. If there are 3.7m SL sales, how can there by 10m+ subscribers? Classic does not have 6m subbed players, it just doesn't. Use your brain.

  8. 10:14: "we are less geared then we normally are" On the one hand, yes but on the other, its really nice.
Imo Legion and BFA spoiled us with to high gear for the raids, making em kinda trivial. People may once again actually have to beat bosses by the enrage timer and that is a good thing i think.
The more clutch a boss fight is the more i enjoy it.
As a example, im in a casual guild atm that usually does Aotc and we only got 4 bosses down in Castle nathria last night in 3 hours. That to me was not frustrating but fun. Its been a real long time since i last got the chance to learn a boss fight in normal mode and not just steam roll it with over powered gear and skipping mechanics

  9. i'm mm hunter went necro because an absorb and an instant dps sounded more fun and then the a hunter used the kyrian one on me and it blew my mind how good it was. I'm changing rn. Also idk why but the kyrian mail armor looks sick on a worgen. such a bright zone though..

  10. As a warlock i felt pigeonholed into kyrian which would have been my 2nd last choice. Wanted to go necrolord but its the worst one for DPS, was bis in ptr but got nerfed into the ground.

  11. TBH I haven't really been enjoying Shadowlands, I don't like the renown grind and a lot of covenant abilities just suck unless you play a specific spec. Even worse is Threads of fates is ungodly dull and once you start… you're stuck.

  12. I picked necrolords for my arcane mage because I just like the ability. Its not the best and I don't like maldraxxus as a zone, but turning into a skeleton mage and cleaving everything with arcane blast is fun.

  13. Love to see the game is doing great! But for me this expac it's a pass. The burnout from BFA is to much and got other games to play and some studies to focus on.
