As a solo mat farmer I highly highly recommend playing on a mid pop realm- dont worry about demand, the demand is always there for base materials. Its probably even worth using a boost on a druid or something (if you have your free one available) on a mid pop and make that your main gold farming character for tokens if you want to stay raiding or what not on your mega server – definitely dont play on a mega pop server for mat farming (you basically have to farm 2-3 hrs to get what we can get in 1hr) its just the nature of the beast sadly
