  1. In the book "Before the Storm," Malfurion and Sylvanas actually had a battle in Darkshore. It was basically described like a fight from DragonBall. Malfurion and her zapping through the forest, ramming each other into trees and mountains.

We saw the end of the battle in the game, where Sylvanas only won because Saurfang impaled his back with his axe.

In terms of power, Malfurion has more feats than Illidan. Malfurion once carried an island to keep it from being destroyed by a tsunami. I believe Malfurion would win in a fight between him and Illidan, or it's a stalemate, but it'd be extremely close

  2. After you ended the Battle for Azeroth journey, i highly recommend to watch the Blizzcon 2019 voice actors live perfomances. There on stage they (real) performing some of the incredible good hq cinematics 🙂 I'm not sure if you can react to it (copright things), but just do it for yourself 🙂

  3. I just wanted to thank you, that you upload the whole streams, because of timezones. I will watch live if possible (like last weekend, went to bed at 5 am) but mostly I will be part of the replay crew. Saw your first reaction (War within) and mentioning Dalinar's visions had me hooked instantly.

  4. WoW Retail starts you right at BFA content, and once The War Within is released the retail version will start you at Dragonflight. Something to think about because you would be missing out on Original, TBC, WOTLK, CAT, MOP, WOD, LEGION, (and BFA depending on if you start playing before The War Within is released). As someone that has played WoW right at the original release day, I would recommend you start playing Classic WoW which will lead you through Original, TBC, WOTLK, and soon CAT. This will at least give you a really strong feel for the game and a great background knowledge to jump into retail at BFA, or Dragonflight. Love your videos!

  5. Jaina's blonde hair was turned white following the bombing of Theramore. Though Jaina was able to escape thanks to a portal opened by Rhonin, she still caught a bit of the blast and then went back to Theramore after the explosion to survey the damage and look for survivors. Her hair was turned white due to the exposure to the residual mana from the mana bomb.

  6. I love how when you ask 'who is this' everyone is like That is Talia, Bolvar's daughter when the answer is really That is talia, when your Alliance character gets out of jail and gets back to the Kul Tiras Main City, she's the one who shows you around, points out the inn, the flight point, all the stuff and tags along with you for at least half your quests – oh and btw she's Bolvar's daughter. I think I put it that way because she's really presented as a solid character in game, she doesn't think about presenting herself as the daugther of a hero she just wants to be a fighter and an adventurer. And the scene where Katherine goes to rescue Jaina from the weird island realm she's been imprisoned in makes me cry, and as you're analyzing it I'm getting how closely it resembles Greek myths, not necessarily a re-do of Orpheus & Eurydice but they build it up as a terrible place nobody escapes. When Arthas purged the plagued town, the question is whether you believe the technology and manpower of the time could handle quarantining and trying to help a whole town (which is really dubious) or whether it is more moral to blockade a town and just wait for them to die and then have to kill them as they rise as undead? Part of the issue is that Arthas was very decisive and jumped to his solution so you have no idea if he felt bad about that decision in the moment.

  7. Admittedly, I find the whole guilt of Jaina rather forced. She was correct to make the choices she did. The Admiral got himself and his men killed because he wouldn't leave the nascent Horde alone. They died because the Horde defended itself against them.

  8. Kul Tiras was discovered and colonised by the Gilneans – I suspect it's a lot why Genn and Katherine are so familiar with each other.
2:30:04 – one of my favourite cinematics – Priscilla's (Who throughout gave me strong Ursula of Disney's Little Mermaid vibes.. ) face when the Kul Tiran Fleet appears is perfect.

  9. I played Horde from the beginning, and for BFA, so I fully missed a lot of these Kul Tiras scenes. I think it's really cool to see them for the first time with you, but also really cool that there are stories that me and my characters don't know but can learn about

  10. For context, in Warcraft III, Thrall established the current-day Horde as a way to reclaim the orcs' lost traditions of honor and respect for nature, not the demonic bloodthirsty Horde that Gul'dan and the Legion turned them into. This is the Horde we joined at the beginning of WoW. The way the cinematics were released for BfA, we saw the "Battle for Azeroth" announcement cinematic first. We were fighting again, but why? Then we saw Warbringers: Sylvannas and realized that we (the Horde players) were the "evil aggressors" with a mad warchief again. Many of us were angry that we were doing this all over again and that we had been party to so much death. Then we got "Old Soldier" and Saurfang was a surrogate for all of us "honorable Horde". When they released "Lost Honor" at BlizzCon 2018, when Saurfang said "What I want is my Horde back", the cheer that went up from Horde players was thunderous. Blizzard played our emotions like a harp during this expansion.

  11. *Jaina Lore:* At the end of Warcraft 3, the Horde, Alliance and Night Elves teamed up to stop the Legion, including Jaina and Thrall. But after that cooperation, Jaina's father arrived to hunt down the Horde, refusing to back down. She stood aside, and let her father and his soldiers get killed. Later, when Garrosh became warchief, he mana-bombed her city, killing all her people, putting her on a path of vengeance instead of diplomacy.

  12. Jaina's story is crazy. Her father was a major hero in the Second War (WC2) but mostly absent in the Third War (WC3). Jaina and Thrall agreed to peace, but her father showed up where the orcs had started to build a permanent settlement and tried to genocide them as vengeance for what the older Horde did. To preserve peace, Jaina helped Thrall and Rexxar kill her own father.

  13. Since you like Tyrande's voice there is an in-game quest that you may enjoy, basically in the middle of shadowlands there is a scene with her when she goes absolutely nuts and the voice actress does an amazing performance.

  14. Some details about Saurfang: He is a veteran of like seven or eight wars, outliving basically all of his contemporaries except for like three or four orcs. Younger brother of one of the greatest heroes of the Horde, Broxigar. He led the Might of Kalimdor, the combined forces of the horde and alliance, during the War of the Shifting Sands (in-game event near the end of the Classic era), he led the Kor'kron forces of the horde into Northrend in the campaign against the Lich King, he stood with Thrall during the Siege of Orgrimmar, and now at this time he was the de facto leader of the Orcs in Orgrimmar.
He has lived a long, storied life. When Varian told Anduin that Saurfang was an orc of honor he wasn't just saying that. He was the one trusted with leading the largest army in the world, he is known and respected the world across, to humans, elves, and dragons. But he is still a soldier, and in war a soldier follows orders.

  15. Your chat has no clue and it is frustating defining who Malfurion or Tyrande are. Malfurion is Illidan's twin brother. Malfurion, Illidan and her used to live many millenia ago during the war of the ancients when Queen Aszhara destroyed the known world. They fought the legion and were succesful. Illidan changed paths and he became a demon somehow. Malfurion is a Archdruid, he is actually the first one, he changes form and is connected with nature and the Emerald Dream. He was asleep for also many years getting ready and training more druids in the Emerald Dream. Tyrande is a priestess of Elune, she is the leader of the Night Elves and they had a love triangle with Illidan, actually he would die for her, but she loved Malfurion the most. After Sylvannas destroyed the tree, she asked Elune (mother moon) to grant her powers and she became the Night Warrior hence her darker eyes. There is too much lore to explain in a paragraph. You def need to see Illidan's story to understand Malfurion and Tyrande as well.

  16. Jaina's hair colour also parallels that of her ex-fiancé, Arthas.
Both had blonde hair, but unlike Arthas, who fully fell into the "dark side", Jaina didn't (just barely).
The little bit of blonde she has left represents the difference between her and Arthas. She didn't go full dark side with the white hair. There's still some blonde/light in her.
