Yes, ANOTHER Flagellation re-work. xD I think this is like number 3 or something of the times it has been altered since I was on beta, but I forget. HOWEVER- this new version is pretty legit and feels WAY better to use, and is much stronger. Very hype. such venthyr. wow.

  1. EDIT 2: More simulations from the theorycrafters on RH are showing the lashing scars conduit is actually looking quite potent, so that is promising to see but remember, tuning can change anything in an instant.

EDIT: The theorycrafters over on RH are starting to get some sim information out there on Flagellation. Currently they have some info for outlaw specifically, but it looks like Nadjia (Venthyr first soulbind) with Flagellation will be a solid single target option, literally tied with Niya as of this comment. Will be updating as more information comes out on it.

There aren't any definitive simulations on new Flagellation YET… but I do think this new version is MUCH MUCH better than the current/live option we have now. Possibly good enough to switch for? Maybe, though I will say Kyrian/NF both have some pretty strong soulbinds so Flagellation has a bit of competition in the M+ scene. For raiding, I think this might be enough to make it a highly competitive option though.

Overall, super hype and will be leaving feedback on this and any more rogue changes we see. ^^ Have a great day, folks!

  2. I wanted to go Venthyr for the transmog and because I felt like it worked better for Rogue concept/role play wise than Night Fae (I hate the robe/dress like legs from Night Fae) but hated how Flagellation works. I am currently leveling an alt Rogue (Void Elf) to be Venthyr and see how I like it as my main is Worgen and the armor wouldn't have looked good anyways :'(

  3. I'm Kyrian rogue PVP. I think ventyr will must be OP at 9.0.5. Because :
-the power "Lashing Scars" with new Lashing is awesome !!!
-3 templates of Ventyr are viable and interesting (With Kyrian, just pelagos is OP and buff are not crazy)
-Lashing scars is shadow damage (OP for subtetly and outlaw) Night Fae is Nature damage (OP for Assassin), Kyrian is Arcane damage (not OP).

  4. Maybe i missunderstood, so i tested it myself: the "mini-flagellations" on every spent combo point make every 5p finisher hit like the first flagellation, with 50% attackpower that is. Its written like that in the tooltip and maybe you meant it like that, it just confused me so this might clarify. you flagellate for every combopoint, so 50% AP and 5% Haste on every 5p finisher.
this change seems pretty powerful and more usable with the smaller window for mythic. Still got quite the CD and the soulbinds arent that strong sadly, but a great improvement! thanks for bringing it to attention 🙂

  5. I chose Venthyr as my covenant (currently playing Sub) because the haste buff will come in very handy if or when I switch to Assassination. It is a bit cumbersome to use. The 20 second countdown doesn't synergize well with Shadowblades because you have to spend a GCD to reactivate it while Shadowblades is active, and that's not something you want to do while your burst is up. If they take it off the GCD along with eliminating the energy cost, it will work great.
