Most of Hearthstone’s references to WoW are light-hearted and are almost universally non-canon and not meant to be taken seriously. However, Hearthstone lore becoming canon in the WoW universe has happened, and when it does, it is usually a very serious and big thing. It’s fascinating to learn that Hearthstone has directly influenced World of Warcraft’s development several times and that’s why today we’ll be looking at things in WoW game play and lore that came originally from Hearthstone or were inspired by Hearthstone.

  1. Maybe not exactly hearthstone related, and this has been speculation for years so if anyone has actually debunked this feel free to correct, but Y'Shaarj actually made an appearance in Wrath during the Ulduar raid. In the 2nd to last boss room there are stain glass windows with what look like several Sha. These are speculated to be either just the normal sha we fight in game, or the actual heads of Y'Shaarj

  2. Gadgetzan it one ow my top places to have in future expansions, hopefull with revamped Azeroth we have something similar to a big mafia city as technology and culture is evolving too. Also Gilneas style city but more steampunk, there is so much work to do with this.
