The return of holy power is definitely massive and the glimmer build isn’t as prominent as in BFA but we tested everything we could in terms of shadowlands holy paladin gameplay: torghast, world questing and a couple of holy paladin shadowlands dungeon runs so basically everything that the latest beta client can provide. There is definitely a lot to go into, especially when addressing the holy pally shadowlands talents but all in all, the spec still feels great and it will remain the go to healr for tank heals with decent performance in dungeons too. Great video! The Holy legendaries are actually good, but many have 1 restriction that negates their usefulness. For example, Shock Barrier is at its core very good. However, it has both a 3 target restriction AND does very low HPS. If it could be applied indefinitely, the low shield health becomes ok and the lego could be used for raids. If it had a 3 target cap but a fairly high absorb shield, it could be used for dungeons. Since both of these restrictions are in place, it can currently not be used effectively in both :/.
Shadowbreaker is a lego I REALLY want to be good. The 40y range plus the 20% healing increase makes for a great combo with Glimmer and AoE raid healing. It rewards good LoD placement and proper CD management. The problem? LoD has a 5 target cap, which makes the 20% buff and range unreliable for Glimmer'd targets. LoD is restrictive as it is with the 15 yard cone and HP requirement. I think the target cap should be removed on it, or make the ability function the same but have it be akin to Prayer of Healing. Both of these changes are however a bit too extreme in regards to what needs to be fixed, which will most likely be the legos themselves (if at all).
Seems like removing things from thre GCD is all you can come up with; might as well go back to the days of WoD and macro everything into one button.

Man I wish they would just take Light of the Martyr out and replace it with another healing spell. It has killed the healer class fantasy for Hpal since it was implemented. Great video BTW guys awesome info/content as always.
Wish our concentration spell .. could drop massive healing aswell as damage or give us damage reduction standing in it

Actually the addition of holy power has grown on me. It makes Holy the “melee healer” it should be because you don’t want to miss out on the holy power generation from crusader strike. That’s awesome.

To all our Gay friends out there in Shadowlands, that might be more conservative, do you agree that Blizzard should use the homosexual community and add racy text as a stereotype against homosexual men? Seems pretty demeaning to me, and paints the Homosexual Community in a bad light. World of Warcraft doesn't usually involve this kind of racy interactions, I don't recall any type of quest or scene of this kind, whether straight or gay. And now parents at home are going to blame the homosexual male community for the inclusion of this racy situation in their games. Doesn't seem like a good move to use homosexual men as a pivoting point for Blizzard's political agendas.

Holy Paladin Bat Man!
Why not have crusader strike be a "next melee" type of attack. Seems less broken than your big heal being not GCD locked. Also would just make you macro it into something else which makes it less engaging not more. My feral tank in classic has two buttons and feels more engaging than some melee specs in retail. And maybe give holy a "seal" type of debuff to generate holy power for themselves.

Solid video great job. Reactive healing always seems like a wild rush – havent done it years – what’s the best healing add-on these days.
GCD is the devil…. systems can easily handle the workloads these days so server stability shouldn’t be an issue.
Play around with cool downs if needed but artificial pauses between abilities just seems like running in mud – always has to me.

I really really want to like Ashen Hallow, but the cooldown does concern me. but i get not making it 2 min because it's Hammer of Wrath effect clashes directly with wings giving you free Hammer of Wraths as well.

I’m still so confused as to why there are so many range increasing things. With holy power, you’re almost required to stay on target or at least on a add
I hate listening to people complaining about cast times and paladin busy work. I’ve hardly ever played prot but I have mained Holy for the last three expansions and spent slightly less time playing ret. Paladin has always been like this. There has always been a lot of shit to do an manage for ret and holy and that’s just in terms of personal management. Especially in the case of holy you are expected to manage numerous mitigation abilities outside of healing, BOP, LOH, HOF, HOS, beacon assignment before casting single target heals, multiple personal cool downs to address the fact that we have garbage multiple target heals, and considerable situational awareness as it is incredibly easy to get into situations where you can’t come back do to potential for large damage to multiple targets as, once again, we have no really tools to bring back multiple targets aside from CD buffed single target heals and cool down through put in the form of holy shock. The point is, if you are looking for easy healing this is not the class for you. Pick resto druid or shamim If you want simple solutions for whatever happens next and especially so in the case of druid. Personally I love the challenge and randomness of healing, you never have the same experience twice. I also hate the sentiment that it’s all about top numbers, I never change specs due to increased potential for higher HPS. Play what you like and figure out how to make it work. That’s just my opinion.
