  1. personal opinion:

the game itself got waaay better in dragonflight but the storytelling gets worse and worse each time they try to create something new. They already used all their well known und developed characters and settings and now they just invent stupid things that nobody really cares about ( at least I don't) like everything was the jailer even childhood anduins diarrhea (it has become the "thanks obama" meme).I mean the entire story summed up is :

-Island awakend and they go there
-Evil storm Dragon needs to be stopped bevor she frees her siblings – – – but succeds after her defeat
    – one of them fucks off, the other one joins us and we fight the one remaining fire dude.
    Expansion End

I really tried to love it but after going trough FF14 Story i can't be botherd to care about the badly written story and characters anymore.
For me they all just feel like quickly thrown in shells to give players content.

But great to hear that you could fall in love with the game again 🙂 happy for you!

  2. Best part of console port? using a controller is the only way I can get rid of the studdering / skips / frame drops I get when turning with any wireless mouse on PC or any mouse on a mac

  3. Is this perhaps the same as the hype built pre-expansion and then our expectatives are shoved off the cliff when the pre-patch lands? Because it certainly looks like it; is the same I'm feeling but no pre-order from me because the refund for something 1 year away of release will be impossible.
I just wish they made the pre-order cheaper for those who already got Dragonflight…

  4. The issue isn't really Odyn is an asshole (many of us agree) I think it's more so his powerscaling is oddly out of place. This takes place before the Aspects get their power up from my understanding, as personally, the final friendship Avengers cutscene came afterwards for me. Odyn fought us (and was presumably testing us) when we had our artifacts and were thus considered the most legendary heroes known in existence. Ashbringer paladin, Scythe of Elune druid, Frostmourne Shard DK, Eye of Sargeras Warlock etc. So the fact Vyranoth comes in there and completely owns him with a flick of the wrist without even needing to transform (pre ascension) felt more like out of place meta spite against Odyn's character, than an actual immersive faceoff between the two. Odyn didn't need to win, I'm sure many of us want him to lose, but if he can't even do a single thing against a non-transformed primal incarnate, when we toppled one in the first raid, it really puts into question how he was so strong in Legion. It also puts into question why he's any sort of legitimate threat going forward? Vyranoth proved that she could take care of him on any given Sunday if she wanted, so it wouldn't really make sense to ignore him if he started to cause too much trouble.

  5. I get the whole Odyn/Titan stuff but can we please hold Blizzard accountable for making the player confusion possible to begin with when yes; everything else in the games lore points one way and yet Legion pointed in a completely different direction and legion was the last time this game probably attained a bulk of its newer audiences (I highly doubt BFA, shadowlands and Dragonflight were outsider magnets).

Almost like legions story and lore was a load of hot stupid nonsense that everyone ignores and forgives because GRAAAH I AM MAH SCARS! (And also because everything after it was somehow worst.

  6. Couldn't agree more with this! Blizzard sending a cease-and-desist letter about it also points to them having internally realized it's potential also, and wanting to keep that potential for themselves at a later date, should they inevitably be purchased by a certain console company. Between Immersive addon, Action Cam and Console Port… you have nearly completely ported the game!

  7. This is EXACTLY how I like to play WOW. Offset camera, reading quests, running/riding mount to my destination instead of Dragon riding, appreciating the world. I love being immersed in this world, and I don't care much for ilvl and all that

  8. The only thing make me mad in Tyr Questline is Nolaki, the Zandalari "paladin".
DAMN IT! Zandalari Prelates serve loa, not light.
I hate it everytime when some unexperienced designers forget the minority lore. Just use another human paladin, it would work.

  9. I don't remember Odyn being that much of a dick to the warriors. He resurrected them from the dead, he let them lead his Valakyr, he respectfully refers to you as his Battlelord. Also, the Titans were never evil – that is a retcon. They're not good beings, but not evil – like the Greek gods you mentioned. Just because you're indifferent and think of a lower life form as lower doesn't mean you want to cause undue suffering. Demons (Chaos) wanted to cause suffering and pain, the Void causes the mind to rot unless tenacious, Life and Death are in a constant balance and if one gets too strong suffering occurs. Light and Order both seem to be maligned the same way by the culture warriors in the WoW offices. All they do is reinforce the downsides of ordered hierarchy and self-belief while magnifying the benefits of the Void. These are only the black and white dots of the Yin and Yang. The only reason Algalon was going to reoriginate the world was because it was corrupted. If your house has termites are you evil for killing them? If your PC gets a virus – is it an evil act to delete your Tamagotchi and reformat the PC? If you culture bacteria on a plate and it has outside contamination – do you not bleach the agar and start over?

  10. Cheers to immersive experience, I enjoyed a bit whilst living on west coast, though I wish people would not speak about the end of Dragonflight from PTR at least before the 3rd wing has been out for several days =/ I cannot seem to avoid spoilers though am trying, having to skip past parts of videos.

  11. The whole Odyn being evil feels very left field considering how much he has also helped mortals as well against the Legion/Shadowlands. Sure he did some bad stuff in the past but feels like up till dragonflight he was trying to do right. Especially rough considering how much hand waving the game does to justify other villains crimes especially a character like vyranoth consider up till a patch ago she was a villain willing to sacrifice her Fyrakk as a distraction so they could "win". Does feel like if you have dangly bits and a deep voice you are irredeemable however any female characters can commit mass genocide on every mortal on the planet for some death god or cause they think dragons are superior and hey it's fine and you need to forgive them.

At this point hes no more evil than the aspects, They're kind has done far more damage to Azeroth and its people and yet they get empowered for "reasons". we have had multiple dragons who have done far worse things for far more terrible reasons. The whole writing the titans to be the villain feels very forced and lazy because the current writers lack the ability to develop proper villains so have to rely on destroying the writing of their betters to get people interested.

  12. no thats not how MMOs work, thats how MMO players work. stop trying to justify this consume consume mentality that WoW has by saying its because MMO, when its the player mindset that creates this sort of thing.

  13. anyone who's played gw2 for a decent amount of time would disagree with (however subjective it might be) take about animations.

the elite specializations in gw2 have some of the most gorgeous animations and effects I've ever seen, on par if not superior to wow's most recent reworks of animations.

  14. I played hundreds of Korrak's while leveling level 59+ characters, getting one horde to exalted and an alliance most of the way there, overall a horrible experience, since neither the content nor the pvp activity has been scaled, despite the fact that even level 10's are able to queue. I went to get the mount I earned from the vendor and oh, look! The vendor was removed and the mount that the achievement says I earned has been FOMO'd out of the game, screw all you players. They haven't learned anything.

  15. I don't care how beautiful World of Warcraft Dragonflight is, because I hate shallow superficial beauty. The fact that Dragonflight is so beautiful without having anything deeper or more meaningful makes me like it even less. Most of us fell in love with World of Warcraft back during classic vanilla, when the game looked like an actual pile of dog s**t running on a rotten potato.
