  1. to me the only logical explaination why Bulvar could resist the Jailor and not Arthas is Frostmourn the Jailor was controlling arthas via 2 Corrupted artefact and Bulvar as only one of them in his posession he also know it was gonna try to Corrupt him Arthas did not when he picked up the Sword and Putting the Helm just Strenghted the Jailor grip on him

  2. When Uther threw Arthas into the maw , he was doing the light's justice. People misunderstand the light as being the good guy, which is a mistake, when all you have to do is reflect on what happen to Illidan when he crossed paths with the light. Remember the lesson of Xal'atath: Xal'atath whispers: The Light would have your kind remain obedient and stagnant. I offer the gifts of freedom and strength. I hope you remember my kindness.

  4. lol they keep retconning their lore in order to give them avenues to keep creating content. the biggest retcon was releasing Chronicle 3. A couple years ago when they put it out, I saw so many retcon contradictions it put into play, it was just funny. This lore has become weak sauce. Kind of a shame, the Lich King lore was some of my favorite bits back when I used to play.

The idea that Uther was always split in two, is retarded if that's what they are going for in that Arc … What just him, no one else? So dumb. It's called a McGuffin.

  5. Why would the Jailer tell Sylvanas he was in control of the crown and sent whispers to control whomever wore it? I think he is only telling her what she wants to hear and only part of the whole plan, plus I believe he has led her on by saying he will free everyone and gift her with her most deepest dreams and just toss her aside like a used tool.

  6. I have never played WOW but recently got into the lore …… does this revelation mean that the otherwise shunned Banshee queen ( which would be my queen if i played the game) actually knows wtf she's doing breaking the helmet?? i mean in the shadowlands cinematics.. she does say " and i will set us all free…. .. sry if this is a stupid question .. but i am a lore noob…

  7. What fucking shit. Blizzard are driving the last stake into the Lore. All these fucking major lore villains or zones that could have been their own expansion rushed out in BFA so we can finish off everything. The Old Gods being retconned to being dead, we have officially "saved" Azeroth completely. There is nothing more, the "world" of Warcraft now has no conflict until Yrel comes through the portal again and starts the bullshit hur dur "war of the light" after we finish Shadowlands.
The Jailor being in control all along, retroactively made up and added into the lore to give Sylvanas' dumbass plans meaning is just a shit cop out of a story.

Calling it now, were not going to kill Sylvanas. Were going to knock her out, kill the jailor and she's either going to get a redemption arc or become the new Jailor.

  8. 26:20 bullshit? That was the intention

The Jailer was the ruler of the helm, Bolvar was barely strong enough to not become his slave- not strong enough to defeat sylvanas against js will

Sylvanas has a portion of the greatly inflated power of the maw, it was the mars power which created the helm

Arthas’ decision, he had some freedom of movement within realising the jailers will. Bolvar just say there and resisted

Sylv just wants to make erryone duff

  9. Hmm. If Bolvar had to constantly fight the Helm of Domination, it actually makes sense he would be a weaker Lich King than Arthas. Arthas embraced that power while Bolvar fought it every step of the way. So it makes sense why he'd lose to Sylvanas… Well, not as much sense as 'she's a girl' reason, but still 😀

  10. holy moly how do you keep misinterpreting this lore every few minutes and make these weird assumptions xD

And stop hating on the shadowlands cinematic man, yes he's the lich king but without the sword and the thousands of souls it absorbed hes just a dude with mindpowers who keeps the undead from rampaging.

  11. This comes about a month later, but given all the stuff we know now, then more speculations can be brought forth.
Arthas was incredibly powerful, this is because he was in a sense taken over by the Jailer, henceforth the Jailer was able to funnel power towards Arthas, as well as because of Frostmourne containing the sigils of the maw, this only further amplified the power from the Helm of Domination.

However Bolvar, he resisted. He was able to resist the Jailer which in turn made it so he was not as strong as Arthas. Bolvar did not have the power Arthas had, including the power that would in turn be funneled through Frostmourne. This made him merely as strong, perhaps a bit stronger then his mortal paladin self. He was a strong Death Knight but was not as strong as what a Lich King really was.
This, plus the pact that was between Sylvanas and the Jailer, only further explains why Bolvar got his ass kicked in the cinematic. Sylvanas already was stronger then Bolvar when he was alive, and nothing really changed here especially since she was super powered now thanks to absorbing the souls from the Fourth war.

  12. emphatically disagree that Arthas was a good person until he picked up frostmourne. I feel like Asmongold needs to replay warcraft 3- Arthas is clearly completely falling apart mentally and morally as the campaign progresses, to the point where he knowingly sacrifices his closest friend to obtain a blade he knows is cursed and will cause great harm just so he can have the power to get revenge.

  13. Can't believe I'm saying this but the writers actually have a way to salvage whatever remains of OG sylvanas.
Don't wanna get my hopes up though, but it would make sense for Sylvanas (who sought after her own death above all else) to go for a self destructive path of vengeance on the jailer without giving a damn about who else she might involve.

Alternatively writers fuck her over and forget about everything she used to be.

  14. Sylvanas did swear revenge against Arthas for her death, and what happened to Silvermoon. She took up the undead and united them into an army of Forsaken to achieve this goal. After killing Arthas, she ended her life and went into the Maw but was spared by the Val'kyr who made a pact with her. They take her place in the Maw and suffer her fate, but she gets to live and takes a group of them with her. If she should die, another Val'kyr takes her place in the Maw. The Val'kyr wanted free of the "Lich King" and were willing to serve Sylvanas in exchange for that freedom.

So we know two things already, Sylvanas is aware of the Jailer being the Lich King. Sylvanas wants to kill the Lich King.

Sylvanas is going to Darth Vader the Jailer… when he's weakened by the might of the alliance and the ferocity of the horde.. on the brink of his victory, she's going to yeet him right in the back and fling him into the void.
