  1. So it’s all his fault. Wow been crap since that boring dude was in charge. He the type to not let u copy off his test in school. Fire him and give someone else in charge, or let him do what he likes to do that raid stuff

  2. I miss using artifacts like in Legion and BFA. Questing to get a cool item and then actually getting to use it throughout the expansion. I don't miss the silly endless grinds they put on them, but I wish we could use some of the cool shit we find or see in the SL.

  3. The only complaint I had all throughout legion was the introduction of the level-scaling system. I hated the fact that you could skip around and pick and choose what order to do the zones in and that the story didn't really start until Suramar. The initial 4 zones were completely disconnected and their own stories and I hated the lack of that overarching linear storyline that I've come to know and love

  4. when he took over was right when the whole retail gaming culture changed to "let's just get the game out and we wioll fix it later in patches over the next few years. it's ok." It's not ok, but thats what he is paid to do so… I'd really love to know the honest truth if Ion really believes in this culture.

  5. I could be wrong Acco, but I thought legion was mostly designed by the time Ion took over. Maybe I'm wrong, but Ion had less to do with legion, but then carried the legion torch of game design into the next expansions.

  6. I don't want Ion to prove anything. I don't believe in his sincerity when he speaks. I don't like anything he's been talking about since the last Q&A, where he always acts like a soulless dummy talking and answering his pre-chosen questions that never deal with anything related to what the players ask. I'm still salty for his response regarding the purple placebo blood elves, sold nastily as if they were the High Elves that the alliance has always shown an interest in having as a playable race but which was tainted by the corrupted wish and his disdainful "if you will." Everything about Beta for Azerith was a disappointment to ally's faction pride. No justice for Teldrassil, our leaders acting like idiots and quickly forgetting about the war to help the horde with their own problems, again. Fake High Elves, obese Kultirans and junkgnomes on top of it all, as they only brought shame and a sense of shafted to the ally's aspirations for something as desirable as what the horde received.
    No. Ion will have to do a lot more than show service. He, his team and the other developers of Blizzard, will have to change their excrashed dislike for the alliance.

  7. Ion may have accidentally given me my best class design: I've played a holy paladin since summer of 2005, and I was never happier with my class design than I was at the end of Cataclysm.

    That being said, it's pretty clear that a small council of arrogant turdnozzles who refuse to listen to players have been ruining WoW for the last few expansions, and it's hard to imagine Ion not being one of them, since he's lead developer.

  8. I disagree about Legion. I left Legion because the design got worse over time. Yes, the ability to target Legendaries and the increased catch-up and alt work on artifact knowledge were improvements. But the addition of the infinite grind in Concordance of the Legionfall and the addition of more junk systems on top of systems with things like the Netherlight Crucible ruined the expansion for me.

  9. Nah, he has a choice. He makes bad decisions and talks down to people who disagree with him on them, only for the players to be right and his ideas having to be walked back. Like the GCD changes and Azerite armor in BFA or the covenant system. Ion would ideally go back to encounter design, but he has no business doing anything else.

  10. I honestly don't understand why it has to be one person solution, the game as it is with all its nearly 2 decades, has to much inside that you can't really have one person managing all of it and get to decide how each of these systems work.

    From what you say he is amazing dungeon designer, and that's probably where he should have been with about 99% of the decisions under his hands.

    The person above that should be the integrator of these systems together, making sure nothing gets broken.

    Just a thought.

  11. I think thats part of the reason why when Ion gives an interview there is alot of dancing around the question. Not just because he doesnt have an answer, but also because that is what he was told to do, which is a sad state of affairs right now. There is so much disconnect right now between the game, developers and the community, that it will take a long time to get that back. Dont get me wrong, there have been some steps recently in the right direction such as Legion timewalking and the Mage Tower, but thats a far cry from what WoW used to be. I hope they continue down the path of finally listening to the community and improving things we want, not they want.
