  1. Hard wall at lvling. Expecting everyone to know wich covenant is ideal for your class/spec meta, and weekly events that sounds like garisson raids from WoD. Think I re-subbed way to soon. But will be fun, if Ion and blizz f it up this time their jobs are over, peace.

  3. And there's the real reason why the covenants has to be unlocked by playing all the zones, it's to force you to play for longer. This seem to be the only thing they care about, not if it's fun, engaging, challenging. Just how long can we keep these suckers playing and how can we extend that period.

  4. "We've never had level gates before" Am I misunderstanding what these are? Before scaling was implemented most expansions required you to reach certain levels before you could get quests for higher level zones right? How are these any different exactly?

  5. Just do fixed level boosts based on story. If you're powering through the storyline, and you don't have enough to continue, just boost the difference to get you high enough to reach the next step. People that want to do everything are free to do so, while people that just want to do the bare minimum quests to get the end can do so.

basically the Chrono Cross Method. You can grind out stat boosts or whatever until you hit the maximum for your star-level (which caps how far you can progress till you kill the next boss to gain the next star level), but you could just go and kill the boss and get all of your stat-ups in one shot at the cost of the boss potentially being slightly harder due to the opperunity costs of skipping all the extra stuff you could've gained from side-quests or grinding. Doing extra was simply to get currency, farm items, unlock additional characters, work on personal storylines etc. i..e. worth doing, but not nessecarily required to do unless it appealed to your personal goal.

  7. Why the fuck would they even give out XP for the first character anyway if you have to do the main story?
Just put you 2,5 levels up every time you complete each zones main quest.

Im mean how fucking hard is it to take the amount of Xp needed for 10 levels and divide it by the amount of forced quests?

And no. Quests that arent directly related to the main questline should not be a consideration for leveling.
Just because they happen in the same area does not make them relevant. They are convenient extra XP.
Im still having nightmares about the absolute shit that was leveling in Panda.

  8. why dont they just lock it behind an achievement, the achievement being complete the campaign which then unlocks end game, that way they can boost the xp so it doesn't matter
