So yeah this entire method is outdated because warbands means you can sent gold and crafted items to anywhere on your account. is does make arbitrage between servers better, but mostly just for rp servers. otherwise now you're trying to compete against the entire region's crafters to be the first in a region to craft the new items AND have a network of alts at high pop realms to flip them with. so at this point you're better off getting into stock trading, your odds are probably better;

  18. Its good you mwntion being quicker at doing it (being first) means more profit. People watch gold making guides with absurd view counts and then complain that prices dont match and they arent making as much. Its fairly obvious all gold making is a cycle and first come basis
