Mythic Shriekwing! – Restoration Druid PoV – Castle Nathria – World of Warcraft Shadowlands

Hello everyone! This was the first boss that we killed during the first week of Mythic in the Castle Nathria Raid of Shadowlands.

Okay, first of all – this was a very sloppy kill. We had some bad mechanic mistakes leading to puddles getting dropping in the wrong place, and I personally got hit by a circle and also failed to LoS at one point. It was enough to get the kill, however, as first bosses in Mythic are generally pretty easy. It took us a while to get this kill, because all of our raid-prep told us that the lantern could not be hit by a moving white circle or it would explode, wiping us instantly. We were struggling in phase 2 to move the lantern around without getting too many stacks and still LoSing the ‘Shriek’ cast, causing a lot of wipes. After the lantern accidentally got hit by a circle on one pull and didn’t explode, we realized that it only mattered if *the person carrying the lantern* got hit by a circle *while carrying it*, and we killed it in 3 pulls after that as it made the phase 2 much easier. Our lantern positioning in general was probably way less than optimal as well. We also hit the enrage right at the end, and just barely killed him before we would have wiped. Also for some reason my recording didn’t start until ~10 seconds into the fight, sorry about that, but you’re not missing much. I definitely could and should have pumped more HPS here, but for our first kill I was overly-focusing on mechanic and not healing as aggressively as I have been in Heroic / Normal. Anyways, I’m glad that we got the kill on our first Mythic Raid Night, and I hope that this video is useful to you in some way =)

At the time of posting this video this was an 84 Parse and Rank 66 World. Definitely not my best performance, but I’ll take it.
