Here’s my reaction to the new Tyrande cinematic “By Our Hand” which is from the latest Chains of Domination covenant campaign chapter, Power of Night.
I think its so cool we are getting closer to seeing more of Elune. Things are getting interesting.

  1. Maybe I'm going to get a bit of hate, but hey, the liver's yours.
I really like this cinematic, and I really like the implications on the lore and how this all plays into the other characters' perspective on the great cosmic forces.
Illidan has more of an "atheist" approach, where we should act for ourselves and not depend on superior beings.
Sylvanas went full "let's tear everything down and build a just system", since she believes none of the "powers" really care about mortal beings.
Here Elune is shown caring deeply about the Kaldorei, but again, like a goddess would: she doesn't care a bit about their mortal life, instead she's only interested in the continuation of their souls, and treats her own "children" like tools she can freely use to achieve her goals, without any regard for what they actually want, like a possessive parent who doesn't attribute much meaning to death. Her perspective and sense of morality is completely different from our own, and makes for an interesting contrast.
It's the kind of development that naturally makes us ask ourselves: "What's our place in all of this?"
I love it and I can't wait to know more.

  2. Blue eyes for everybodyyyyyyyy (except Nathanos…. he can heck off). I wonder how Shadowlands and the Emerald Dream would line up on the Astral chart…like how they're related. Freya created the Emerald Dream and the Shadowlands doesn't have a creator as such so maybe it's like comparing Apples to Dyson V11 Absolute Nickel/Blue Vacuum Cleaners 😊

  3. Horrible story written by basic people for basic people. We now have a discarded alternative WoD timeline that got the lamest closure in BfA, 3 Mary Sues such as Sylvanas, Anduin and Thrall, the cosmology origins being entirely speculative and quite foreboding for what eventually will be a great reset, plot holes the size of 🪐 and people still gargle this defecation with a passion. Even their biggest promoters are confused at the utter state of this game's plot and writing and yet denial and copium is rampant, more than ever! Sheeeeeeesh

  4. "I felt the death of anderweld and sent you a tide of souls to sustain you", Is elune an accomplice of sylvanas? maybe elune's anger did not specify the death of sylvanas because it was NOT HER… BLOW MIND.

The only thing that upsets me is that once again, characters of the alliance have their redemption, and the idiots of the horde die left and right. I wanted to defeat Sylvanas and Tyrande

  5. This cinematic is getting a lot of shit but I like it in that it insinuates that from elune's perspective she knew the following:
    1. Her sister was in a desperate situation with ardenweald dying and it was unknown to both her and the WQ why.
    2. The genocide of the night elves is not ideal (to say the least) but elune knew with certainty that they'd go to nigh elf heaven essentially and help heal the cycle of nature that is kept in balance across the cosmos thanks to ardenweald. The theme of the night fae is hard choices and sacrifices, elune was faced with this in the war of thorns.
    3. Elune is not omnipotent or omniscient and that's fantastic because flawed characters are good characters. Facing the recent revelation that the night elves she allowed to perish didn't even go to their destination she faced the gut wrenching realization of what a gigantic fuck up she played a part in and literally cried. The winter queen who a moment ago wanted to skewer her was now consoling her and offering a path to fix things.

It's honestly not that bad. SO MUCH SHIT is being flung but it's not Warlords of Draenor bad and far from it.

  6. Actually one of the Quests in Ashevale where you cleanse a tear of elune to help heal a sick child. She speaks to you when at the most powerful moonwell asking to help redeem a Stayrr on her behalf. For the Great Mother! 😀

  7. I think they are destroing Elune as a character … She was in the lore forever and was awesome … And now she is shown as someone who sees her people as just fruits as sources of anima suffering a horible fate

  8. I think the 'in the wake of tragedy' line implies that she couldn't have stopped the actual burning, but she answered Astarii Starseeker's prayer for mercy and was at least able to make them all fall asleep so their deaths would be painless. She intended the souls of the night elves who died there to be insta-ferried to Ardenwealde (rather than turning into wisps) like she did for ysera when she died in Legion. It seems if she could stop corruption/death itself from happening, she'd have just saved Ysera from the corruption or stopped the burning. But the Primus says when you turn in the follow-up quest to him that Elune is the Winter Queen's counterpart in the pantheon of life…which to me implies that she doesn't have any say in death itself, and so likely due to the estrangement of the sisters, didn't know the machine of death had been hijacked.

  9. This is so absurdly ridiculous, I can't believe there are people who support where the story is going, the narrative sense and the story telling of this is just pathetic, now even worse than the last season of Game of Thrones. Absurd decisions one after another, without the slightest sense, because reasons. This is a joke dude, unbelievable

  10. Both Sylvanas and Tyrande purged of their darkness. I'm so glad to have Tyrande back. Im also really curious what's going to happen to Sylvanas, and how she'll cope with the awful things she did.

  11. to me this was an interesting one. It shows Elune can screw up. It was nice that Elune tried to help her sister but not looking into why she needed help is kind of strange.
i do understand why any night elf fan would be pissed with this.
Elune was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place with this.
