  1. As someone that has played since late vanilla, it’s so interesting and amazing to see someone start playing this year after so many expansions. I started playing WoW after RuneScape, back in like 05 lol. And you started out by keybinding? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I have to say you’ll have to get used to using shift, and alt at least with keybinding, also open up your other action bars, you’ll have too many skills to use and you’ll fill up your action bar way too soon. Your main keys to use as a key under will be 1-6, and also keys used around your movement keys WSAD. Q, R, E, Z, X, C, F, V, G, T, then things like shift 1-6, and alt 1-6, shift mouse wheel up, down, or just mouse wheel up or down. I usually set the abilities I use the most with keys around movement keys or just easily used, then things like cool downs on things like alt 1-6 shift 1-6 etc. you can also make macros that will use a series of skills in a rotation where all you have to do is just use that one ability to cast a series of skills. I have a quite a few that I use, a couple one shot macros. One thing you wanna keep on a macro is mend pet.

a lot to take in but I’m giving you some good advice I’ve obtained over the many years of playing. But really it all just boils down to how you like to play and what works best with you. Keybinding is more PvP based which allows you to move around while using spells, and can allow you to stay behind your target, and if you are, they can’t hit you as much, there’s also dodge and parry involved, clicking is more pve based but I know A LOT of key binders that pve. If you started out keybinding you may as well continue as one. It will give you a huge upper hand once you master it.

subbed also, I can help you on your adventure. Overall, enjoy the game, play it how you like and go from there. It’s just awesome to watch someone play the game from the first time, and I wish I could go back and the game for the first time again 🙂 I just wish you could experience playing a night elf from the original leveling zone. That’s something they did away with in the later expansions
I like to play hunter and they’re awesome, I like playing priest and warrior but I mainly play Druid and rogue. Stealth class ftw 🤙🏻

  2. "Im so glad tutorials treat you like you're dumb, this is how tutorials should be"
Yeah, I mean, I agree. But theres virtually no one paying money to play an MMO that hasn't already played an rpg before. I mean, the idea of equipping armor is…pretty fundamental to gaming. Theres almost no games out that dont involve you equiping *something*. I mean, you're basically talking about candy crush and pacman, thats about it.

  3. in case anyone sees this comment that doesnt already know, the reason his bird isnt doing anything is for a couple reasons
    1) pets have specific roles, the birbs are DPS while something like a Bear would be a tank and thus has the Growl ability. The bird doesnt have Growl so it cant taunt to tank.
    2) Aggro is based on damage. If you deal more damage than the "threat" your tank deals, you become the focus. Since his pet is DPS and has no Growl ability, he is dealing more damage, more threat, and therefore more Aggro.
    3) He is also killing them too quickly for his bird to even get close enough to attack, all hunter pets (I think?) are melee.

If you want to see how much damage your pet does and compare it to yours, just click the pet attack button and let them kill the creature for you. You can get close and read the numbers to know the damage dealt unless damage numbers for pet is disabled under options.

And finally, you can have your pet attack one monster while you attack a different one if you choose "Defensive" instead of "Assist" this way, it will obey you without helping you, allowing you to tag multiple enemies at once, althoug this isnt as important since they have removed tagging for the most part

  4. Spoilers
On the Alliance, the science experts are the Gnomes. On the Horde, the science experts are the Goblins. Its a trope that Gnome and Goblins are always trying to outdo eachother, but Goblins are always working with scraps and so they have to make do.

So, heres the spoilers. In the Alliance side that you just watched, he got to ride the boar into the enemy. But if you had played Horde, you would've had a Goblin doing it, and he would've screwed up the calibration and realized, "Why bother making a giant boar when we can just EXPLODE THINGS" and so your goblin buddy leans into it and gives you a giant death ray and you just murder everything xD

  5. i watched someone else do a WoW playthrough one time, his first episode he found a bag on like, the first mob. and he was like, "This must be a sign of good things to come if we got a bag for free already"

episode 32, like 60 hours later, he was like "welp, its been like 60 hours, and we are like level 30.
and have yet to find another bag" lmfao.

  6. at this low level, he could've taken off his shirt because 2 armor really isnt doing anything lol. in fact armor in general doesnt do much unless its Plate. Its mainly for the stats but low level gear doesnt give stats.

Honestly if you're not getting at least +10 stamina on your item its not even worth equipping because even if you had, say, 15 items, and all of them gave you like, +5, thats still not even anything.

  7. "so many cut scenes and voice acting"

    hahahahahahahahahahah.
yeah they did that just for this brand new tutorial. its a scam. the rest of the game is bland af. it doesnt get good again until you get to the expansion areas which you cant get free to play

  8. It took you two episodes to go from "I have to protect nature" to "I have become the necromancer…. muhahah". Awesome. Jokes aside, as a veteran player, I'm loving this series. You're making so many decisions/discoveries I did back then and I'm loving it. Sometimes I could bite into the table because I can't help, but it's awesome to see how you're discovering stuff by yourself.

  10. Tolkien is often considered the father of Modern Fantasy becase of his Lord of the Rings series, but he based his LotR universe on Norse Myth, so in a way, WE are the father of modern fantasy.

  12. Thanks for this. I remember my friends playing WOW in the early 2000s but I just never did. Here I am in 2023 wondering if it's worth it now and your video answered my question. "It's worth a punt!"

  13. FINALLY! A series of someone starting WoW for the very first time and a complete walk through this is what I've been waiting for as it's so helpful for me as I've just started. So excited to see how you get on throughout the series, hopefully you don't stop it!
