Blizzard should make some changes to cata, people rush through content so easily this days, also since mop will get refresh on retail maybe classic will end with cataclysm, so to prolong it maybe cata hardcore? Or level caps for content?

I think cata will still be pretty popular. I really like the expansion because the player models were still old and the skill trees were still basically the same as classsic -wrath. Also people who were like 10 when the expansion came out are now adults and may be feeling nostalgic about it.
I still remember that shtty feeling of killing deathwing first try, and not knowing what to do right after cuz the game was already beaten zzz, most guilds didnt even downed ragnaros with full DS gear

My boy cata was the first expansion growing up where I got past lvl 40 due to my constant class swapping and small attention span. I even hit max. And it only took a few days. That was the expansion I realized that end game really feels empty and lackluster

I've never understood why classic nerds hate on LFR etc, the gear from LFR has always been dogshit it's not like it matters. it's just something for casual players to enjoy, don't really see why its always brought up.

you're not missing anything with this beta.. it is riddled with bugs and the pre patch is in half a month and cata a month after that.. no way they'll have it ready.

Transmogging is what made WoW worth it for me. I hated walking around with a slightly too small pink tanktop like Winnie the Poh. Finally you could mix and match your own look and not look like everyone else. That's something I enjoy IRL and in-game. The raid finder was also nice because I could find a group to play with without being too social. IMO being social is such a waste of time. It gives me nothing but headache. People are so self obsessed and angry all the time.

Not that i plan to return to either retail or rehashes, but cata release time dungeons and t11 were really great, firelands as well. So many memes like ozruk rap and tears from wrath babies, delicious

Sooo what is Blizzard supposed to do with Classic then? Go look at the Classic Vanilla servers, they are all low population… If they don't keep it going, then it dies.

I was about 12 when Cata came out. Been playing since OG vanilla on a family members account, but Cata was when I was old enough and mowing lawns for cash I saved up enough to buy my own sub. Most people who hate Cata either didn't play it or hate it because it resembles retail with the world update. But the class design, balances, raids, dungeons, and most of the expansion itself was actually really good IMO. But we all have our own tastes and preferences, but for me personally, Cata is PEAK WoW. Me and my lil bro who have been playing together since the beginning are gonna be playing it together, and it's gonna be a good time.
But for those that dont like it and just in general, I do wish they would make a dedicated 1-2 mega legacy servers for the previous versions/xpacs of WoW for those that would want to play those iterations over Cata, Retail, or Classic(Vanilla).
