  1. As a Resto Shaman I don't want Disc nerfed I want other healers brought up to their level. Disc should probably do slightly less than throughput healers because of the damage the bring but it should still be very strong healing wise because its a "harder" healer to play.
    Shaman damage should be buffed for Lava Burst and Chain Lightning for single target and M+ but should do nowhere near the damage of disc. Then have MW and Pala fight it out for the mele range healer spot.
    Nah fuck Resto druid they have been better or at the same level as Rsham for raids and absolute gods in dungeons for 2 expansions going on 3 now…

  2. Thank you! As a dual main, Warlock/Priest, this is really encouraging. I may be spending more time raiding as Shadow than Affliction. We'll see if either is better than Destruction for mythic+.

  3. Meh. Disc has several weaknesses: 1) Burst healing requires significant set up and is harder to play correctly 2) terrible single target healing relative to other healers 3)bad Survivability

  4. Atonement could be changed like "heals for 65% of the damage dealt, dimishing for each ally affected by atonement (down to 45%)." similar to how Sins of the Many works. so it would be a buff for single target healing trough damage but a nerf to raid healing.

Nice video, only a point as a seasoned Holy priest in the case you ever do another one, if you use Holy Nova while in pulls, your damage becomes more than competitive with the disc priest damage, plus you have to use less time in 'only healing' spells 😉 I already tested it on beta, still works fine. Plus I was able to make some insane amounts of damage with it in BfA if the party do not take a lot of unnecesary damage (and by insane, I mean damage spikes of over 150k DPS in 8.2, and over 250k when I stopped playing in 8.3, just before Blizz let us choose our corruptions, and around 30k-35k DPS average in M15+ by that time)

  6. I'm not sure why they haven't reduced DPriests dps across the board by at least half, and then accordingly buff the atonement transfer rate. This frees up a talent, preferably in place of Spirit Shell or Lenience that could be something like Trinity, the PvP talent – something that wouldn't be viable in a raid group but allows DPriest to do similar dps in solo content and dungeons as they do now.

    ALSO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD THAT MIND GAMES IS CLEARLY TOO STRONG IN RAID AND NEEDS A NERF BUT THE NERF NEEDS TO NOT IMPACT M+ AT ALL. IT'S EASY. REDUCE MIND GAMES UP FRONT DMG TO IDK 200% SPELL POWER BUT PUT A NOTE ON IT SAYING IF NOT IN A RAID GROUP MIND GAMES DOES 50% MORE DAMAGE

  7. If they only treated balance the same way as shadow. We overhaul it from bfa, BUT we only focus on the SP and ignore the gigantic list of problems Balance has :p

  8. I'm happy for priests, my GF hated doing world quests with shadow, then she found ot that disc. is stronger than shadow for wq, so now she'll probably give shadow another try.

  9. Yeah I feel bad for holy aswell. Holy is just a meme. If you play holy instead of disc then you are trolling your raid or M+ Team…. But instead of buffing holy priest they nerv disc so druid can be the lonely king of M+ they were for 5 years now…

    Stupid but thats is :).

    On lower Gameplay all this shit doesn't matter but on mythic raiding and high M+ keys (at least above +21) playing off Meta shit is really a troll and just feels terrible sometimes…

I don't agree that disc should be nerfed, the spec already requires you to have a good understanding of the priest class and generally do stuff that goes above and beyond other healing specs and its power would be a problem if it was worth stacking, which is not. If it was a dumb ass bubble spammer like in WotLK I'd agree.

  11. Let’s be honest, not all disc players perform at the level of mythic progression guilds where disc truly shines. To say that one can simply pick up disc and play to its full advantages is simply untrue, and disc performs best in fights where players at least do all the mechanics right and help disc priests ramp up during big dmg phases.

    Also disc will likely get a nerf half way through the expansion due to how it scales, and we will see what sort of glimmering gimmicky play style other healers will bring that will outshine discs.

I agree disc could use a raid nerf somehow, now that they can function in mythic plus decently. evangelism seems the correct choice to target here, given the power it brings to raid but it's never seen at all in other content. I think the correct way to nerf evangelism is likely it's CD, still allow large disc priest ramps, but reduce the frequency at which they can do it.

    I will strongly disagree with what they did to holy pally, hpal needed more depths than the glimmer playstyle brought, but the new design is clunky, it flows poorly and is button bloated in the extreme, it's massively dependent on kyrian to have even a single functional AoE heal. it picked up the disc weakness of being unable to heal without a target, but even more than requiring a target, it requires a MELEE target. Holy power is a terrible system to try to be managing as a healer, and a massive chunk of their damage has been tied to their hpower throughput, crippling their raid damage. The mana nerfs are problematic as well given they have no mana regen mechanic like every other healer in the game. They had many options to nerf hpal mana preservation(which was too high) but instead of picking one nerf, they implemented ALL of them. You literally oom in open world content.

  13. Everybody seems to think they can pick up Disc and play perfectly fine in any content. You can't – it is a very unforgiving spec and has the highest skill gap. It is meant for high lvl content where your team/group does little to no mistakes and doesnt need lots of heals so you have dps to do where disc shines.

  14. Honestly I’m probably going to go discipline priest. Even if it gets nerfed into the ground, it fits the “green DPS” dynamic and style of FFXIV well enough for me to be able to comfortably hop back into WoW after taking a break for two years

    Yeah going back to gcd healing might be an issue, but I think atonement will make up for that

  15. You lost me at removing evang bro. That’s such a big part of our abilities in raiding. We are no where near the top except for in mythic raiding. Have you actually done it?

    Bro “resto Druid flourish” are you kidding me? They are a top dog. Our throughput isn’t that high outside of an evang schism burst window. So if you played it you’d know that. This just shows us that you haven’t really done end game content as disc.

Holy is definitely so much more fun now, I dual spec between Shadow in overworld stuff and Holy in Dungeons/Raids/PvP and it's definitely bringing in even more variety to the table, I just feel like the Insanity mechanic is so tacked on now, I was looking at my abilities and seeing that there's literally ONE ability that uses Insanity and I thought "That's it?"

    I mean Voidform not scaling from insanity is good for balance but now if they'd remove it completely and made Devouring Plague a mana spell with two charges it would feel just about the same

    Reality – bring a shadow priest instead of a disc priest, get Mind Soothe AND Cloak AND bring a resto druid for run spead
