  1. I was raiding in MC Alliance side on Medivh when Ascent got their first kill, which I found mind boggling that anyone could do it at the time. This was back in the time where word of mouth and website forums was a thing, social media and Discord didn't exist.

The only UI mods you could use were mods people in your own guild would write. Heck, you even had to run through Black Rock Depths instance to get to Molten Core. Getting 40 people on the same raid instance ID usually took game moderator intervention.

Horde complained a lot about how Alliance's Blessing of Kings allowed tanks to survive, but in the end rogues and warriors proccing windfury totem is what gave the edge in the first Ragnaros kill.

  2. It seems when a bug is result into ban that raid players, the GM becomes the next lvl boss, like in Matrix, and players need to pass that Argument to,so does any player think about into beatting the GM boss with arguments? in result making a new video youtube were a raid become the first who stayed in ban time less then other ban guys, leaving them the biggest raid players in the world who beat all of the virtual boss and real boss challange? WHAT ABOuT this video ideea?! For free! no Copy wright or stole ideeas been taken!

  3. Worth noting that BRF was so soon after Highmaul because they were supposed to be part of the same tier but staggered, and they delayed it more than originally intended to pad out the expansion due to all of the well known issues with WoD development.

  4. i played from launch to wrath and was in a top 50-25 ish guild. We had the occasional player join one of the top 5. It was pretty cool. It's kinda strange seeing practically every boss die on the 2nd lockout. You list 14 days though so does that mean they beat it before or immediately after that 2nd week reset?

  5. Naxx is in such a sorry state now in Classic. Even with the pretty hefty buffs they gave it compared to the OG Wrath version – its still a complete pushover. A far cry from its original form (even the Classic 40 man version gave raiders a hard time, even with all the knowledge and min-maxing and better internet and comms).

I know its the starter raid, designed to get newbies into raiding. I get that. But man, its… so easy. The step up to Ulduar is going to be brutal, and I welcome it. Even if Ulduar 2.0 isn't the challenge it originally was (because of aforementioned knowledge, better internet, etc along with the better loot) its still going to be a breath of fresh air having to actually worry about mechanics again.

That being said, its still shocking to me how often people still die in Naxx. Mostly due to carelessness and apathy, I feel. Patchwerk 25 was the only boss in Naxx that genuinely made me nervous the first few weeks due to how much of a beating he handed out to our tanks (who were also not threat geared, so DPS getting splatted was regular too). But even then, clearing Naxx in less then two hours on launch night was… Something.

  6. Watching this after the world first kill of Razageth— Echo took it over Liquid and she got hotfixed twice to become mathematically possible! I love statistics like this, it is so interesting. Nice, informative video!

  7. I started playing a few months after wotlk was released and played through 2018. Wotlk really contains all my nostalgia and was a huge part of my life. Makes me want to cry knowing that I'll never experience anything like it again in life. Met my best friend and first girlfriend playing. Even playing classic wotlk won't bring it back.

  8. @WillE Not sure if mentioned but paragon's lk hc had to be between 60 to 80 (i think) attempts. It was 20 per week and they got kill at 5% before it went to 10% (2 weeks at each 5% increment).

  9. Meh. The race to world first never hit me in wow.. simply because I was among the legitimate world firsts in classic EverQuest and its first expansion. Which is far far more prestigious 🙂 once youre there, the drive isnt needed in any other MMO to raid hardcore 😂

  10. I always wonder how long it would've taken these raids to be cleared if people weren't relying on a crap ton of mods. I don't recall needing mods to raid in Vanilla, but I'm also not sure at what point the game started requiring them.

  11. It has always bothered me that raids are available instantly. IMO it makes the rest of the game just a weird filler for so many. It would've been interesting to see how the raiding scene would behave if raids weren't available at launch, but instead later, so that not only the top 1% would be the ones who raided initially.
