Basically saying we never knew the true sylvanas, she genuinely did some good things as the banshee queen and now they have to destroy that as well cause of how badly they fucked up.
Underwhelming and disappointing in so many ways.
This cutscene is very good by itself but the problem is the whole state that the game/lore went in.
blizz superiors: so, we need to get sylvanas on the good side.
dev: but, she did so many bad things, how can we make her redeemable?
blizz superior: aha, we can say she was controlled and couldn't stop herself.
dev: …again…, BRILLIANT NOW EVERYONE WILL LOVE HER!!!
It’s almost as if they have not improved in 10 years while other companies have already left them in the dust.
Pretty much most in game cut scenes (even side content….) in EW are better than this…. Blizzard kept they loyal fans for years but now these fan realized how outdated WoW is. Be it Lost Ark, FF or others, there are so many choices out there.
This is the best cutscene i have ever seen, the light really sets up the scenes and the amount of emotions in sylvanas face was amazing, the story really is going to places now!
How they showed the internal struggle in sylvanas fractured soul really was a perfect take on the internal struggle of most human beings in modern society! How Uther showed mercy on her fractured soul is really great and immersive in such a fractured society where we are in a constant struggle of information getting to know the truth and getting bombarded with fake news!
Sylvanas is the peak of writing, no other female has gotten so much good story writing in years, which is deeply needed in our patriarchal society! I'm really looking forward to the places we will go with her and the way she will face the consequences of her other "corrupted" soul and how people will get to know her "true" soul.
Blizzard shows they can finally show a part in diversity and how it can improve our society, a female lead is frowned upon by most males, but with them showing her so prominently males really can't ignore the way females can improve story/writing and society.
The jailer really is no slouch and i'm looking forward how sylvans will help and show the horde the true way out of this situation! Now is the time for horde and alliance to stick together and defeat this evil male villain and smash the patriarchy!
I give this cutscene a 10/10! I really can't wait for what the future awaits us!
