Do you give out your WA's? Mine have all broke for warlock
Thank you for your amazing work Izen. Would you recommend warlock (affli&destruction) over shadow priest if your is M+ ?
Izen Hart will one day make a Frost DK guide. But that day is not today, My Son. Do not, forget.
whait, they reverse change to necrolord ability to buff only 1 drain soul back to 3?
Slight correction, there is a sow the seeds build currently that absolutly destroys im m+, seed explosion dmg is buffed by mastery.
Aff long seems crazy hard
You want to re apply agony before it expires, because it keeps the current amount of stacks on the target. Something that you frequently missed out on in the video. Other than that, great job!
Shadowpriest next pls 🙂
I love your content but I have to completely disagree with covenants' argument. You have little no choice on what covenant you can choose, Kyrian is by far the strongest in most of the scenarios. Its dmg is too high respect to others, it applies another dot and generates soul shards. The only other decent choice is impending catastrophe for mythic, but that is terrible in every ST scenario. Decimating bolt was nerfed to the ground and Aff has access to only ONE buffed DS, not three. Soul rot is just garbage, you can't just talent inevitable demise in place of DS and you need too much synergy to buff an ability that sucks.
Been playing aff since 2004, the thing is, aff was always an all arround good to very good spec for multiple types of encounters, from aoe to single to cleave to spread, i always said, the thing is this spec is automating damage with instant cast repeatedly (meaning mobility and ability to do something "else" while doing more and more damage).
So from a gameplay perspective it will always be good, in legion they tried to attack the "automatic" damage, aka dots, and focusing on incremeting dot damage with single target powerups, it was a mess, in the big rework of legion "aoe" was saved by legendaries (making dots explode), in bfa the dot exploding was gone, and aff was left with the pre legendary type of gameplay but, with low dot damage, so the curve of power was broken for the first time in history, was left in the worse state (no aoe for a multi dot spec, yep, that weird).
Now in shadowlands, dots still are crap but the "dots exploding" type of gameplay is back, malefic rapture is too reliant on shards, thats why it will scale better with shard generation above anything.
In PVP its obvious why it will always be from medium to very good, "damage style".
The big revelation to doing damage as aff is to know when to burst, trinkets are of extreme importance, the shorter the fights are the most important.
Many youtubers dont find drawbacks, thats because two things: 1.- the rest of the specs in in bad o pre-buffed state, or 2.- they fail to see the real power curve.
The real power curve for this spec is based on target uptime, when you play with competent people, other specs have better sinergy with the battle, making aff fall back to a medium-high spot at best.
In conclusion, this always happen, it will always be good until the people get their builds and fingers up to date.
how it is compared to spri in multi combat profile i wonder
Running afflock now and it wrecks in dungeons. Really liking it.
I wanted to change my main to afflock but ive been maining my arms/prot war since vanilla, so i cant change now, gotta play muh boomer spec
stats stats stats ????
Waiting for that Demo guide~
I was affliction before it was cool.
Agony before unstable affliction and that is how rotation should be.
Grimoire of Sac is very good on pvp
What is that scrolling combat text? Looks really good!
Hey great vids, Im subbed. Cant wait to see your stuff on other spec/classes
Idiotic video made by an idiot.
The only real choice is kyrian at the moment, sucks because necrolords used to be good and better theme fit for warlocks
To bad the other specs are complete trash.
its almost like they know how to make specs viable but choose to wait years to do it.
subbed!, can you link your elvui pls?
What is that addon for the combat text? very clean
Is it even worth using the demonic ritual?
I honestly picked up aff lock when prepatch started because I liked the thought of DoTs. Now I'm +100 ilvl running mythic+ and laughing as my burst vaults me from bottom of dps to top in the matter of 5 sec.
What is that armor or tmog?!
Can you link your WA? Thanks, love your videos!
how do one follow agony with this setup?
Hi, i need name addons for dps
I really like your UI I want to copy it!
I know it's not the prevailing opinion, but I don't like Malefic Rupture. To me, Affliction should feel like your enemies are rotting away. Instead, your DoTs barely tickle the targets, then you blow them up in 5 seconds with force lightening. What about that says "Affliction" to you?
dude, can you mute you game sound? listening to you while playing wow and hearing wow int he background really messes with my head
I've looked around with no success for the answer to the question: Does the damage and frequency of tick of a DoT change if it's applied before the warlock receives a buff such as to Int,+haste,+crit etc or should you for example use whatever buff trinket first THEN apply the DoT to receive the benefit? Speculation on this really won't do as what's needed are the facts around the mechanics of warlock DoTs and their operation.
Thanks for the video. Very informative, and it helped me in making a decision as to which other spec I will play in SL (I want-need 4 specs). Nice playstyle, good sinergies among talents, abilities, conduits and legendaries. And on top of that, Affly scales beautifully with gear, meaning more and more dmg as the new raids and M+ seasons come. Furthermore, because of that good scaling, it could cope with a last-minute nerf on MR. Yes, this is going to be my 3rd main for SL! 🙂
Affli looks good here but i just saw some logs and streams and affli seems to be in a tough spot in SL compared to Mage being outperformed in ST and Multi Target when Affli is supposed to be a Multi target machine
