World of Warcraft Shadowlands PvP and Battlegrounds require an additional update before the expansion launches. The PvP gear offered from the honor vendor in Shadowlands is extremely lackluster. Additionally, battlegrounds, dueling, and world PvP have been lacking incentive for several expansions now. It is time for Blizzard to repair and maintain their other forms of PvP outside of Arena. Playing Horde in EU means 15+ min queues, that is the single most important issue they should solve for BGs. Faction unbalance makes it impossible to have fast queues.

Time for Blizzard to hire Stoopzz as PvP lead designer, he obviously know and care more about pvp than the current devs themselves! I remember, he was one of the first content creators on YT to explain pvp scaling in BfA!
i have played wow since launch, me and my friends stopped playing pvp after WOD, because the reason for pvp in BGs just disapared. Before we would atleast need resilience gear to somewhat good in pvp and we could get most of it through bgs and some casual arenas from time to time. I hate Arena, but love BGs, so will never pvp again if there is no insentive to do so through bgs
Stoopzz can you make a video where you make melee, range…. Tier list but where you compare class in pvp and pve preform for example a monk is like S in pvp and an C in pve so it would be like a B overall

I have liked your content for awhile now, BUT this video is why I am subbing! YES. BGs is something that kept me entertained when at max level. I was a scrub in Vanilla, BUT I loved BGs. When I cant raid, I want to PvP, BG specifically. That is why the older expansions are better, THERE IS NO TO-DO LIST. You reach max level and do whatever YOU want, not what Blizzard wants us to do.

I started PvP on tlk, was farming for gear, so happy, i played like 16hours in a raw, doing bg, or savage pvp, some 2s, it was so fun !
PvP is still fun… but u need some "miracles".
But Blizzard understood something good, a fast meta is better, because even if you just got rekted without any way to stay alive, you can do the same when you respawn…
Now they need to understand, what we need is not balance, nor competition, it's fun, it's log on wow, and insta tag bg, doing your WQ at the same time, enter bg when it procs, and when it end, continue WQ, it's still possible, but no one do that anymore… because bg are (were, i think bg on prepatch are good) boring, some healer are invincible and can kill you, some classes have infinite escape, i mean, venruki video where he show the rogue killing on cheap shot is a proof of this, can kill you on a stun of 3 second, and can reset the fight all he want, that's stupid, and for sure, you dont want to do any PvP after taking this.
And that's only for the "gameplay", but if we talk about gear, or everything not related on the gameplay, it's shit, they put 86 ilvl gear on prepatch… ????? Why ???? It's prepatch, it's the only moment of the xpac where it's not "serious", give us some 115 ilvl gear, and not earned after 389 bgs…
Man this video hits home to me in a major way as someone who has been playing since before Arenas came along and watched the steady decline of BGs and World PVP over the years.
World PVP and BGs hold a special place for me. I could spend hours doing both. It's a real shame to see how Blizzard has neglected this aspect of the game. This video of yours really needs to be seen by the people who work there.
I miss when you could queue up for BGs as a full pre-made, think the last time was WotLK. I had some of my best times during then and still talk to one of my main homies from that time.
As someone that only does BG's and wPvP do you have any melee recommendations that have good survivability? My warrior just doesn't do it for me these days (I die to much when solo) and I find Ret leaving me desiring more.

WoW pvp can learn so much from overwatch.
Cosmetics, poses, character intros for potg to earn as progression. You play for fun mainly.
Modes are 3v3 4v4 6v6 with the main objective strategic form being 6v6.
Relatively small but interesting maps with tactical elements.
They should get rid of epic bgs and make bgs in wow 6/10/15 instead.
6 player maps should be ala overwatch and team fortress 2 modes. Escort objective. King of the hill. Capture points. Then flip sides

BG’s are my absolute favorite form of PVP and I’ve definitely noticed a decline in focus on them in recent years.

Imo, PvP gear should be obtainable like it was in tbc-> cata. It took around 40 hours from basic gear to max geared if you played decently well. 40 hours for MAX gear is NOT a big deal. I think today people want max gear immedietly but still want a sense of progression. Getting free stuff and having progression at the same time is impossible, you kill the feeling of progression with free stuff. maybe 100 BGs and/or 200 arenas could be a sensible amount.
This video speaks to my OG WOW Nerd soul. Nothing like BG's with the boys back in the day. Being able to get pvp BiS or at least close to it from doing BG's is the dream.

This is how I felt about the pvp skins for legion artifacts. They gave me something to work toward in pvp.
i play wow since ca 1 year after it launced, i stoped pvp in legion because of removal of pvp gearing and changing it to rng and not what i wanted so i got multiple times the same item or items i allready got better instead of something i would normaly work for and then buy it

My 2 cents, every item in the cash shop (and more) should be a reward for bg's. Why we even have a cashshop for mounts and pets? We already pay for addons AND a monthly fee
@Stoopzz_TV Do you feel like there's enough customization to your class at 60 in shadowlands? Like all these other games coming out make it so you can play 34235 different ways but WoWs still the same. Like I want a fire mage that hits like a truck with fireball if I spend a lot of spec into it. Not oh pyro blast is my only bit of damage. Gets boring playing the "Meta" specs because in competitive pvp you want to be top tier. I suggested they rework the talent points too, everyone takes almost the same stuff on every class. They should re work it into something unique and interesting.
JUST BRING BACK THE WOD GEARING SYSTEM.

Blizzard are definitely the architects of their own demise in this regard. PvP combat has become diluted with borrowed power schemes and unpredictability. Gone are the days of just being good at your class. These days you've gotta have a perfect talent set up, choose the right covenant, optimize your soul bind tree and conduits, ensure you have enough of the correct stats and just plainly play the OP class because your long term favourite is now dumpster tier.
as a classic player, I don't see a problem in spending 129 hours for BG gear as long as the battlegrounds are somewhat playable

People haven't done bgs all BFA because it's pointless, nothing dies.
If you play lots of battlegrounds, you end up hating others as you see not everyone take it seriously. (if the enemy is full of that its a stop and not satisfing, its sad)
If you play lots of arenas you enjoy those who dont take it seriously as its a free win and you quickly forget you even laugh with them, and defo not being sad.
If you play duel you just either hate the game or the person who picked the currently unballanced matchup, and if you are with it deep down you know its not you who won, its the system.
If you do world pvp its a combination of battlegrounds and duel, and it takes a lot of time and luck to self ballance it. It can happen but its like nearly once in a lifetime, you better doing lottery.
So all and all arena is the best of all worlds. Its quick, its forgetable, and it is pretty much never a problem. You might run into massive gear or skill difference, but that only reinforce you that how far you come or how far can you go.
And no, its not like duel since it IS ballanced.
About rated battlegrounds. It is ofcourse not as good since the objective nature makes it repetative. In arenas you find many combos that plays very differently and the maps can change a lot of that too, but in battlegrounds you need a set of specific roles to be fullfield and at that point it doesnt matter what class plays it or how, it is a role in the battle not some personality infuesd wacky shit that sometimes happen in arena.
So yeah, ppl play arena cuz its superior in all aspects and all other game mode is obsolete. We are speficially lucky that it is also the most rewarding.
About nostalgia. You didnt liked battleground back then. You liked the world and youre lifestile back then. Dont mix how you felt with what you did at that time.
They didn’t have to remove original honor system and pvp vendors like wotlk cata and mop had.

Also I don t like the simplification of talents over time… I liked the old talent trees with a lot of choices / customization
I will never forget invading the alliance honor vendor spot in Towlong Steps with my fully geared ele shaman at the time.
What was a little skirmish with a few kills ramped up to be a fully fledged faction war as I began to invite more friends. More and more alliance showed up and the battle raged on for hours.
When the night came, i logged off to spend time with my family. The next day, however, my friends told me what the Alliance would obviously do that night that I was off… They retaliated.
They gathered their forces and slaughtered everyone in Orgrimmar. It took a few hours before the Horde could retake control of their capital.
Man, I wish I had participated in that battle. But I feel proud that I was the one that started the whole thing in the first place
