By the way. I have mained survival since legion rework and done every raid on mythic difficulty and always did great dps towards the top of the list. MAKE MONGOOSE BITE BASELINE BLIZZARD!!!!!
The only issue I had with the video is that you mentioned warriors wont be bringing any CC potential. The Nightfae is a beefed up shockwave skill, In MoP it was hugely helpful skill. Its not tied to the class inherently itself, thats true, but there is definitely more to choose than just the Venthyr.
Helpful analysis for returning players, but please refrain from saying idiotic things like "Frost is much more easier than Unholy". Unholy is the entry spec for DKs, designed to be picked up and played by any newcomer. The spec basically plays itself, with its slowness only helping you. Frost is simple, but requires much better quick decisionmaking if we're talking about Obliteration, and a lot harder to manage and master if we're talking about BoS.
Hey hyped all the wrong specs, sub is best and only spec for arenas, same with mm/bm keeps bitching about aoe nerf you only need single target dps… didn’t even touch on most of the nerfs or change to play style for classes.
Bonus for survival, when you queue for group everyone thinks you're ranged. Also works for feral.

I has three characters lvl 50 (mage, warrior and warlock) and I can’t chose my main for shadowlands. Love warlock affliction and demonology but they killed it few addons ago;(
i like how he says at the beginning anything is viable, but almost constantly says "overshadowed by other specs" "far more desired and favored" to avoid saying, basically "they have shit dps"

Nightfae look fits my void elf DK well, I’m blue anyway so the aesthetic fits well, especially being frost.
Definitely going to be maining fury warrior, but also looking at experimenting with a Night Fae Highmountain Tauren Death Knight. Night fae + bull rush (free charge) + wraith walk + death’s advance = semi-mobile DK?
Seems like every class is CD dependent…?

I have a few options in my mind. Hunter, dk, warrior, and rogue seems that I'm gonna focus on those classes in shadowlands 🙂
I am still considering between paladin or warrior. I have fun with all specs of those classes, and it's so hard decision to make! I love light magic effects with pally, but warrior can fight with 2H swords, shields, two 1H swords and two 2H swords! 😀
Have always been surprised that they don't give an unique advantage to survival over their ranged specs. There's so much baked in convenience into hunter ranged specs for them to keep up or pass up survival's damage. They need something better. Like a better version of crimson vial called Bandage Wound or something. I love the theme of survival, and their bombs, but their rotation just feels like a mess.

feral rotation is so fucking jank. you HAVE to do aoe, even in single target, otherwise you miss out on 20% damage. it's the dumbest shit I've ever seen

Im for sure going Dk this xpac. Theyre going to scale so hard with the new mastery and frost 2h obliterates. If for whatever reason unholy becomes better for a raid tier or PVP i will spec into it. Both are some of the most fun and badass specs to play in the game
How to choose your melee main:
Don't. There's enough melee mongos in the game, you'll have a lot of trouble finding groups and will get benched during progression. On top of that M+ has become more unfriendly towards melee; and rightfully so, they had very few affixes to worry about compared to rdps.
Do the World (of Warcraft) a favor and pick any other role to main; it will make life easier for you as well.
I love survival. It is such a fun spec to play. It gets a lot of hate but I think that's just because people don't play it well.
still months away from final tuning,i get it that yu have to make some content to eat but this is kinda useless
UDK looks good, except one thing: you must be a god damn fairy for effectiveness

One thing I found really interesting is how in every preview, you were the top DPS (and if not, you were REALLY close). I think it subconsciously put the meter-heads at ease, and just allows them to look at the pros and cons.
I definitely think windwalker has lost a lot of it's charm since the legion class reworks I still main it but it feels a lot less satisfying to play. I don't personally think that combo strikes makes it any more interesting to play it feels more like a restriction than a class feature to me. They took a fun, complex class and made it into another boring 2 button class then put in combo strikes that creates an illusion of difficulty that translates into press tiger palm then blackout kick repeat until you can burst or press RSK on a 9 second cd. Feels like 2 steps forward 1 step back gain 2 chi with tiger palm lose 1 with blackout kick until you have full chi that mechanic alone feels clunky to me. Give us all buttons back please bliz. Like expel harm is cool and all but we're gonna need more than that.
What addon do you use for your/target's health bar?
For me I’m torn between fury or arms, ww (most likely choice) and havoc.
I just want ease of use
im 27 mins in this vid and all Im hearing is that all the melee dps are "not in the competitve scene" aka trash pretty disheartening guess ill play warlock or spriest

Boosted a fury warrior for shadowlands.i am loving it omg is it fast and fun feel like a true orc now I just need my mag har and I'll be good. Think garrosh when I think of fury. I always played caster and melee here and there so wanted to switch it up man super fun. Gonna be a venthyr fury warrior gonna try that convenant first hopefully isnt bad but I dont care love there aesthetic.
You won’t get into a raid or M+ running melee, same as always, but I’ve always found it more fun than pew pew from a mile away.
I was really hoping they were gonna bring back Presences for dks, stances for Wars, Metamorphosis for Demo, Survival to be ranged again, BM to have Zoo again in it's proper form, Frostfire bolt, Enhance to have wolf's to heal them, just to name a few that should be brought back.

I will say I did play survival a bunch in BFA and even raided with it in Legion. It’s a really fun spec, you fly everywhere, throw bombs and generally chase bosses. It’s really fun to play.
It just sucks when it comes to meters and being useful. I went raiding in legion from middle of the pack survival to top DPS with BM. That’s how punishing it is if the boss does just about anything that prevents you from doing your normal rotation.
I am going to play Shadow Priest and Havoc Demon Hunter for the new expansion.
