  1. [Combat Log]
Rextroy has damaged Blizzardbalancetm with 'Judgement of Justice' 9001(OVERKILL)

Seriously at this point the man has become a legend and at least deserves an item named after him, (Maybe a trinket that deletes your defenses and increases threat, but at the same time it increases damage by sick ammount?)

  2. In regard to the gear topic, this exemplifies why the questing in this game should also be revamped. Instead of having 3,000 new quests per expansion, implementing a dozen lengthy/actually challenging quests with a good rewards system would be way more interesting instead of thousands of the same quest over and over.

  3. Why doesn't blizzard just make the floor to pvp entry low, and the ceiling to pvp excellence high? This way, casuals and newbs can play without choosing between deleting their real lives OR getting 2 shot in bgs for 192 hours (until they have basic bitch gear). Also, neckbeards who chose to live on Azeroth, will have a way to earn the BIS pvp gear, and show off their commitment.

There are 4 cool classes I want to play in pvp and bgs. If I have to play 192 hours per character, just to get the entry level gear to do PvP, then I might as well not even sub to the game….

Bgs are so healthy for WoW. Everyone plays bgs (at SOME level) and everyone wants to have fun in them. Other than questing, it's probably the only part of the game 100% of the players do.

  4. now the pvp is just going to be broken in the exact opposite way again, now addicts with disproportionate amounts of more time available to grind for stat gear will be able to hide behind gear stats (irrelevant of whether or not they even have any in depth understanding of their class/specs/etc) and they'll just make pvp unplayable for everyone else until wait times get longer because of lower geared people getting bored of having literally no chance against highly geared people that had more free time for grinding.

Only way for pvp to be "saved" is for it to be split into 2 game modes, one where gear stats count and one where only your knowledge of your specs and rotation/timing of abilities/etc counts.

  5. My thought: maybe have a separate BGs for newly levels, for people who just joined the game and hit 60 and then the rest should be in a separate BGs or something like that, I just think it’ll suck starting a new character and get 1shoot every time cause everyone is going to have better gear then you;

  6. That´s exactly how i feel atm. Back in Wrath of the Lichking i just did Bgs and Arena most of the time. I liked Bgs more as the same reasons you mentioned, it´s not the end when your die. That leads also to more risky and fun plays. 2v5 me as a warrior with my heal against them all? If we kill them we are some happy fuckers and laughing our asses of, if we lose…well we just go to graveyard and try again or look for another epic fight.
On Bg i have some good memories and the best experience in wow. On bgs is where the real FUN is. For what should i farm good gear when i´m just doing m+ or raids all the time… it´s not fun to do just pve the same boss over and over again. While on bg you have always another experience and can destroy people with that gear you worked hard for.

  7. is this is a good or bad things for people who absolutely hate raiding for gear? im glad that its gone but i feel like this is just forcing people who only want to pvp to go back to raiding again unless I'm mistaken. If someone could correct me that would be nice.

  8. I mean, rewards mean nothing if the intent behind playing is just for the competitive nature and/or fun. I think the primary problem is, as pointed out, is stagnation in the scene. Rather than having this state of hyper balance where every class needs to have the same tools, why not have them have different tools and X beats Y, unless Z is present in which case X is equal to Y, so it becomes more of a test of skill with different tools, rather than having an absolute answer for everything.

  9. Do we know for sure that it's removed though? Couldn't they just be scaling it on both ends now? As in, they scale it before they show you the damage you deal, so that there's no difference between what you see and what the enemy sees. But if you actually do the math of damage vs armor or whatever it doesn't add up how it should?

  10. This is how it should be…If you want to scale BG do it by GS. Make tiers of Gearscore.

My oldest memory of WoW was during old school WoW and a guy was tearing up the newb zone and I ran up to him at like level 10 and he slaughtered me. It was great!

  11. "Gear comes and goes, but mounts are forever"

Shit take, the aspect of the game people seem to compeltely ignore is that "Skill" is still a factor. (Which it wasn't since MoP)
If you are geared way beyond someone else ofcourse you should be able to completely decimate them, that should never have been in the game in first place this retarded scaling system.

But it would be nice to see skill being a major factor in this game again, I had no hopes that this would ever be good again, I stopped playing since the beginning of MoP because they just fucking completely broke my class (Not making it bad but completely unfun and broken winning every single Duel as BM hunter because I just need to press 1 button and 1 shot everything).

The most fun I had in the game was early Cataclysm where Hunter was genuinely bad (I know it got way stronger in later patches, but early MM hunter sucked ass), but this was the reason I enjoyed it because even tho it was considered bottom tier, skill was still a factor that let me win against pretty much most people.

PvP scaling at first seems like it would be great because wow, now everyone is on a equal playing field.
Sounds good in theory, but completely falls about when actually implemented (As you could probably tell from the games PvP side being a total failure)

Blizzard removed PvP scaling it sounds like with seemingly no notice and that was the single factor for me that actually got my dumbass to buy this expansion after sitting out like 3 of them not caring about the game at all.

I hope this is nota accident or that Blizzard does better, but I'm already prepared that they just removed it, so they can implement something that is even more deranged and I'm prepared to never play this game again if they really ruin this.

It seems like whenever Blizzard removes a system they added that they thought was good, the game seems to just get better, almost like the changes they added within a decade or so are bad because nobody asked for them or wanted them.

  12. HERE IS HOW IT SHOULD WORK IMO!
What do y'all think about this? Let me know!
    The general idea is this:
BEGINNING OF EXPANSION: Max itemlv for pvp & pve should be e.g 100. Gear is earned through dungeons, world bosses, crafting for pve and through Honor vendors for pvp. At this stage there will be no downscaling yet.
FIRST RAID RELEASES: Max itemlv will increase to e.g 120. Max Pve gear will be earned through raids, and Max pvp gear will be sold by CONQUEST vendors. Weekly Conquest cap, with a catch up system if you did not fill last weeks conquest cap.
SECOND RAID RELEASES: New Max itemlv will be e.g 140. New raid gear will replace the old, Conquest vendors will now sell the new Max Itemlv pvp gear. Last seasons conquest gear will now be sold by honor vendors. Gearing cycle will repeat.

HOW TO PREVENT PVP'ERS BEING FORCED TO DO PVE FOR FASTER GEARING AND VICE VERSA: Max Itemlv pvp gear will be scaled down from e.g 120 to e.g 110 or even 105 in pve, and vice versa. This way pvp'ers can raid without being useless and pve'ers can do bgs or arena without getting oneshot. You wont be as strong as someone from the other side, but you will still be able to compete and stand a chance.

Other incentives to do pvp and pve: Cosmetics, Titles, Mounts etc

  13. They should've made ranked not scaling and just random BGs scaling IMO.

The game is not just about hardcore people, as a matter of fact there is probably more casual players then hardcore players in PVP too.
For me personally i dont really like PVP, i dont really give a fuck but being able to jump into a random BG even without gear and being atleast a little usefull thanks to scaling made the PVP kinda fun, now that they've removed scaling im just gonna get slapped around by gear carried people in random BGs again and will therefor probably never touch it again like i used too.

Yes a lvl 20 should not be able to slap a lvl 50 i get that, thats like the bad part of the scaling thingy and i agree it shouldn't work like that but scaling at the same level and then just in random BGs or atleast unranked stuff atleast made PVP kinda fun for the casuals.

  14. Actually, they copied ESO, they BELIEVED ESOhad PVP scaling which was not the case. They had no levelling, all started on veteran 1, all mobs had veteran 1 lives. Then when you hit 50 you suddenly see the gear what it truly is. So, if you had lvl 20 gear the gear was suddenly nerfed to oblivion.

  15. Nah, part of this is just straight up wrong. You can get everything you get from rated arenas from rated battlegrounds, you can get everything you get from skirmishes from random battlegrounds. You can't get everything from random/rated battlegrounds from skirmishes/ranked arenas.

    Really, arena is pointless.

  16. I never enjoyed PVP despite I played it and even was number one in BGs at some points
It's just too repetitive to me in some sense
Despite I too understand ones who enjoys it, it's quite some learning curve if you wanna be best of the best
