  1. Love your vids as always. I take it you're going to start making more videos on quest lines in the future? Love the idea. Very niche, but honestly a great idea.

I think the only time I ever read quests was wayyy back in vanilla before I knew about addons haha. So it's great to actually see/hear what was actually going on lore wise in the quests that I missed. I think you're on to something 😀

EDIT: Seriously I need more of these vids in my life! I think this is my favorite video of yours yet

  2. Emerald dream was corrupted by Xavius. Un'Goro is not connected to the emerald dream. No dream lore and no emerald dream portals in Un'goro. Barrens Wailing Caverns, is connected to Emerald dream, due to a satyr opening a portal to it through Narthalax, or whatever the nightelfs name is at the last boss, the guy sleepin lol. Un'Goro and Sholazar Basin are actually connected to the Titans. Titans used both as naturally separated biodomes, to study life unfettered. Thats why Un'Goro has those titan stations on the mountains edge, same with Sholazar, and yes Sholazar has more obvious signs of Titans. And instead of Aqir invading the basin, its Undead, and the saronite leaking off a melting glacier.

  3. Ooh I love this theory! I do love some Night Elf story-related theories, since they were one of my favorites to play in the game. I wish the intriguing story could have been more fleshed out in-game, especially with all these pieces of the puzzle you pointed out already existing within the world. Do you think maybe Maraudon could have potentially been related too? I know the storyline there is a bit different, but it's also interesting that the most lush part of the dungeon is also tied to the Keeper and the Princess…

  4. Another link to the ungoro soil being corrupted is during the Emerald Nightmare raid, the boss Il'gynnoth (I butchered that name lol) is located in Un Goro crater. Most likely the boss has been slowly corrupting Un Goro Crater and the soil used is the result starting to happen.

  5. Dayum, I've always loved wow lore but somehow I've missed the whole Fandral story even though I remembered finding him sus when leveling my first ever character (NE) and then just going "ha, knew it" during cata years later on a different main. That was great thanks! ^^

  6. Wonderful video. Since i dont play alliance i didnt know how deep the questline weny.

I'm convinced now that fandral also used the morrowgrain to keep empowering the cursed branch that was put into teldrassil. The same branch that was from the tree prison that Xavius was held in.

  7. I think the biggest support of your idea about The Cleft and that being the place where we confront Fandral is supported by the fact that blizzard originally intended to have an “Emerald Dream” raid/zone during vanilla wow. Perhaps they were laying the foundation for our journey into the emerald dream to save malfurion and fight Fandral with this un goro soil quest chain and never got around to finishing it in-game during vanilla!

    Great vid!

  8. Don't forget that Il'gynoth is in The Emerald Nightmare version of Un'goro crater, in the Legion raid. Perhaps that's just more clues to suggest C'thun corruption already mentioned, but still seems more directly relevant.
I think the theme of The Old Gods corrupting the earth was one they had in mind from the start,

  9. "And now helps to lead the elves to this day" – yeah, about that. Unfortunately Malfurion (had enough of Tyrande's crap and) decided to stay in Shadowlands on the pretext of allowing Ysera to be revived.

  10. According to the story, Teldrassil didn't get ALL of the blessings from the dragon flights after the Hyjal tree was scorched and Staghelm set up the replacement tree. The furbolgs lived on the land previously then the tree grew underneath them. There are signs of huts down below the eastern furbolg camps at sea level. There were satyr and corrupted furbolgs present throughout the tree. There were 2-3 mutated / strange fruit/plants (quests) plus one of the large plant elementals had a tumor (gives a quest).

Teldrassil wasn't well and Staghelm losing his son from the War of the Shifting Sands still weighed on him. I don't know when Staghelm "changed sides" but he definitely had help getting there.

  11. I remember doing this quest way back in the day. It was so strange, and I actually loved that the questline ended so abruptly and mistiriously. I wish they just kept it that way, secrets lose all they charm and mistery when they are revealed. At the end the reveal was kind of a let down. It is way more fun to speculate about the misteries than actually knowing the truth. Same with the missing diplomat questline, or the Ashbringer. WoW was so much interesting back then.

  12. Seeing how Teldrassil's corruption is a prevailing theme in the zone, I think Fandral purposely corrupting the tree is pretty solid.

It's particularly tragic that Fandral was corrupted by the same entity that was responsible for the death of his son.

  13. video I really enjoy your videos and my only critique if any would be the sound quality is a little off I think investing in a better microphone would probably help a lot. Also, maybe some sound deadening pads to place around the room where you’re doing the recording at to help cut down on a little bit of the background noise.

  15. i really love it when questlines span multiple areas and have interesting stories, reminds me of runescape's grandmaster quests. i feel the like the nature of the expansion cycle makes blizzard hesitant to use old areas for this type of thing more in modern WoW (though the heritage quests have been a good start)

  16. Id have loved if the emerald dream was in vanilla. The scope, sky box, and surreal landscapes give me a very uncanny feeling. Youre not supposed to be there, and yet you boldly go and use this dreamscape to your advantage and parse the subconscious truths from fictions.
    The sleeper must awaken!

  17. The quest every neglects to talk about in regards of Teldrassil's corruption is the Thresher quests in Darkshore. You can find numerous dead Threshers corpses along the beaches in Darkshore to the point where it stops being coincidence.

Apparently the threshers are purposefully beaching themselves in an attempt to swim away from Teldrassil
