Sometimes I get daily quest achieves for logging in and I get really confused.

The daily quest thing is due to a counter blizz has for certain actions ticking up and counting per day, and a qwerk in the system makes it so it counts towards the daily counter(happens even with flightmasters)
Since it causes no isses and is a meaningless achievement, they havent bothered to fix it…because who cares?
