  1. Oribos was part of the maw before it was the maw I think (Obleron – Oribos). It was ripped out to create those new realms and connect them and jailer was left in the maw for some reason. In the place of oribos maybe torghast was build. Both are towers of some kind. And as we speculated the arbiter is the part of the jailer looking at the hole in his chest and arbiter ball in the same place.

  2. Tbh, I would've enjoyed the lore of WoW more if our characters were simple adventurers, out for treasures and helping the people and our factions. It was more fun when we had to adapt to the world, instead of the world adapting to us.

  3. 11:52 Yeah, I'm not too surprised…due to plot railroading over the years, at this point it's pretty obvious that in universe our characters are kinda dumb and completely incapable of recognizing when they're being used or when what they're doing is gonna bite them in the ass later.

  6. Any one else notice that ve'nari is an Easter egg for Lord Vetinari, The character is famous for saying "Dont let me detain you" in the Terry Pratchett books, and Ve'nari says "I will detain you no longer".

  7. Blizzard has a bad habit of trying to make Villains that don't need sympathy sympathetic like Argus and possibly the jailer and then turning Villains that should be made more sympathetic and it would work with them into brainless one note bad guys like Garrosh and Devos.

  8. All this talk about precursors makes me think we're going to open a gateway to another shadowlands realm in 9.1 and before we fly all the way there a giant gun is going to shoot us down and strand us there

  9. 5:05 are you seriously not using the UI you raved about and told everyone else to use? lmao you legit have almost reverted back to that blizzard default UI. WTF bellular? Should I just uninstall my UI i painstakingly set up at your advice? Clearly you don’t actually like it??

  10. I think the Jailer was always dislikable, to be kind to him; but I believe he was probably a critical component of the Shadowlands paradigm before his banishment.

Also, I'm unable to get through the Kyrian campaign segment on alts—just can't stand it. As a gay man, nerd, creative thinker, nonconformist, religion escapee, I find the storyline repulsive. I want to run off with the doubters, the Kyrian are so horrible. I think their zealotry for The Purpose has morphed into something painfully ugly and forgetful of its origin. Devos learned enough to become the Jailer's sucker, but otherwise she was right to challenge the Kyrian. It should hardly be surprising that as a former zealot of one belief system that she'd remain as zealous of her new philosophy, and zealots are highly predictable therefore manipulable—check out MAGA or Bernie Bros—to the point they'll commit atrocities in the name of a demagogue. Populists are the most gullible people of all, easily blinded by lies. I think the Kyrian storyline will link with the Lightborne and Turalyon for our battle against the tyranny (Turalyonny?) of Light.

  11. I am a bit uncomfortable with the religion of the Shadowlands denizens being called "the Purpose" for a reason that is specific only to me. About 15 years ago, I started writing my fantasy universe, and I also named the religion of that universe "the Purpose". This fantasy was more similar to Heroes of Might and Magic than Warcraft, but yeah, all fantasy is very much similar. And now, feels to me that again another unvoiced idea of mine was explored by someone else.

  12. 17:36 – The Light not accepting Na'aru after just being present in a dark realm for a long time… I think it's kind of to be expected from the Light. Even if people think that the dubious nature of the Light is just some kind of "new modern" lore that "reconnected" the good old lore… I think we could see this ever since Vanilla. The Scarlet Crusade. And the way the Light treated undead, Forsaken particularly. Maybe the Forsaken are in fault for changing for the worse, sometimes from their own volition. But the even those that were Priests in life lost the ability to wield the Light in death. They felt horrible emptiness and despair, since it would be like realizing your God has abandoned you. And for something horrible that was done to you. Not because of your fault. But because you became a victim, and then your god just became so disgusted by you that for his own selfish reasons, he abandoned you. And it's said that while the Light can still heal undead flesh, it causes a great pain to the undead. Despite the undead normally do not feel pain. Such is the vindictive nature of the Light.
