  1. Hah I knew something was up with that guy. People called me insane for calling him a PR washing monster, but the writing was absolutely on the wall. Nobody does that much "wholesome chungus" content without some serious shit going on in the back.

History doesn't repeat but is sure as hell rhymes.

  2. i didnt watch the analysis video you did, but i did watch the episode itself, in diremaul.
and having played wow hc myself, killed rag, ony, aq20 and zg, even a few bosses in blakwing lair, before i died, i do have alot of knowledge about this,
him running was fine, its what people do when things go bad IF you dnt have a competent leader that calls out clear commands, and people are used to following them.
    he didnt do anything wrong.
the panic/every man for himself instinct is VERY strong once you have a level 60 char on HC.
my own death was to the 2nd boss in aq20, priest, i overhealed after a roar, got agro, and just completly panicked pressing the petri flask and fat fingered all over the keyboard while he was running towards me.

the things that happend after, the drama i have no intrest in, but the episode itself, it was fine running, since they didnt have a clear leader who did clear commands

  3. saw multiple videos going through it, mistakes were made by basicly everyone, priest playing the best of em
on the threats he supposedly made: he reported people that explicitly said they use it to stirr up hate as a way to generate content, to twitch. yes there are people admitting that and it is obviously against tos. that does not mean you can't voice your opinion on the toic. some examples for this: jokerd or yamato going into other streamers chat to bring the topic up out of nowhere
he also said people would regret their behaviour in this matter and nobody would work with them in the future apart from other streamers that were hating. that can be seen as a veiled threat or just the reality that professional industry avoids any streamers that attract drama

either way this was blown way out of proportion and the vitriol coming from some people on this matter is sad

  4. I am not a fan of Pirate. I think his whole model is cheesy. Oh we give a living wage to mods and blah blah, but it’s all from this facade of being a good doer, and donations from chat.

The call was to run. Ok see ya. I am out. I don’t have to be told twice.

Guess they will just ignore the Druid that aggroed the other pack and made the situation worse.

To be fair, I don’t know anything of what happened post run. I don’t want my YT feed to suddenly be bloated with that junk.

  5. Haven't played WoW in years and i can tell you, that situation could've been avoidable for sure but it's a panic moment and everyone runs like headless chickens in those cases. The problem with how Pirate dealt with it, rubbed off the wrong way for so many people who thought highly of him but for those who are always neutral no matter the situation, you'll always listen to all sides with a grain of salt. His demeanor in general looks a bit too good to be true and you'll think that this guy has certainly something that ticks him off. I showed the clip to some of my friends who don't even play WoW and they all said the same thing, "It seems like this guy doesn't take accountability and always thinks he's right", "he has this condescending tone when talking to people, but he tries to hide it with good wording". He's the kind of guy who'll immediately throw you under the bus if that means saving his own skin and it showed in that moment and how he reacted to all of this.

  6. Its not about the choice to run or to last stand. If you want to dungeon you need a tank and a healer, which dont have escapes. No blink, no vanish, feign death, sprint etc like the dps do. If you want to dungeon you owe it to the tank and healer to always help them out of bad situations in hardcore or simply dont dungeon. Because otherwise nobody will ever choose to be a healer or a tank. That is the issue in a nutshell.

Secondly, if you have agro and are going to be the first one out, you need to sit and wait by the exit and not leave. If you leave then all your agro passes to the next person, probably also the healer or tank and you have a second chance to help the healer and tank. He used all his mana blinking and shielding and immediately left the portal, he 100% did things wrong mate.

  7. He was definitely gkicked because he threatened to get twitch’s banned channels and WoW accounts banned because he has connections. Also because he refuses to apologize and accept that he most definitely could have done something to at least save 1 life. But no he played it perfectly at every moment including threatening others. He played him self if anything 🤷

  8. He was playing a support role, against a boss, there was nothing he could do when tanks made stupid decisions that got themselves killed., they are playing the blame game because he's a popular influencer.

  9. One thing that frustrates me that some of you still think this got this big because he roached. It was his biggest ego in his response. He never took accountability. Clearly you dont know how mage works in how they help slow down everything. This would have just been a meme in how bad they played and how he roached and nothing else if Pirate didnt do that.

  10. Yeah, nobody cares he roached,

He acted super entitled, treated people like they were inferior to him and had overall just an immense rude behaviour.

The last straw was threatening with the "I know people that get you banned" card to other creators

This also isnt the first time he acted like this, this event just opened the floodgate to other people who were intimidated by his size before, and are now speaking up

Everybody should read the Kiwifarms thread about him, shoking what he did and still does.

  11. This is what comes from playing with these meme streamers man. A bunch of 35 year old children, all shouting over each other, all willing to throw the next under the bus at a moments notice as long as they can make some money out of it. If you read the unhinged mob comments on X with no context you'd think he'd left someone for dead IRL. Not a fan of Pirate, but he was right about one thing….this group is 100% focused on content at all costs. Honestly this just feels like an excuse for a pile on.

  12. I see you are a fan of pirate, i wonder how, are you willing to discuss some of hes clips on disc, im just a really curious beeing and i find this cult following to be enticing. I liked Pirate from hes youtube shorts before all this happened, but after getting draged into these clips of him, i cant help but wonder how anyone can still like him after this (i only saw shorts, but seeing things from hes livestreams made him despicable to me)

  13. it's interesting that this was the "only" solution to the problem because thor didn't play the victim and played into the drama. his stance is pretty open and clear.
    1. they all did mistakes.
    2. run was called.
    3. starting to run and back casting a few times he calls that he is out of mana but get's ignored. he continues to run while others stay behind and fight without clear call. 2 die in that.
    4. after they died thor just ran out of the dungeon.
    5. everything get's blamed on him because of the actions AFTER run was called and two died.
    6. now he finds it absurt how buthurt everyone is and they had to ban 4k accounts and got two swat calls on his ferret rescue over this. let alone all the death threats and other hate everyone is spewing. (poor mods). this is also not the first subject that is banned from his channels and discord. the other mostly known one is politics in general. it's one of his first rules.
    7. his "threats" he told was mostly a warning to the other creators that they should be careful about doing reactionary drama as it fosters hate in the community and that will eat the viewers over time. this was not a direct threat that he will get them banned with his "connections".

so i really can't blame him for just banning the subject from his channels and moving on. i wouldn't want to "fight" a fight that can only be lost even more than by doing nothing.
