They Are Listening! New Shadowlands PvP Class Changes – What Does This Mean?

New Shadowlands PvP Class Changes were just posted several hours ago, nerfing classes like Fire Mages and Holy Paladins. Hunters, Mistweavers, and Unholy DK’s also saw some minor buffs. They have also continued to reduce some of the difficulties of dungeon bosses as well. These changes show that Blizzard is listening to the feedback and is looking to take the frequent tuning approach to both PvP and PvE. The question remains if they will continue this trend.

  1. It's great to see the small tuning, and if they can do it every couple of weeks, it will really help the game to be more balanced. Thumbs up for helping them to realize this game needs constant balancing, even if it's a little bit at a time. Thank you, Blizzard!

  3. I am actually happy with the weekly changes.

In my opinion, as a main MW monk: it needs design changes, not just tweaking. MW was great because of the aggressive meele playstyle and this is what is missing, now we just stand 40 yard away as there is no point to get close to the fight, we can only screw up DRs and get CCs.

    – change Paralysis to the same as it was in Legion. 15 sec CD.

    – give back way of the crane playstyle as it was in Legion with the same mana cost, not with 25% mana cost. I totally don’t understand why it was screwed up in BFA and why it is removed in Shadowlands.

    – change leg sweep back to 5 sec instead of 3 with 45 sec CD instead of 1 min.

    – change healing elixir to the same as it was in legion. Could be used in stun and it was also triggering automatically at 35% hp.

    Consider the following as well:

    – Bring back Nimble brew

    – Cocoon while stunned

    – Give MW Spear-handed strike

  4. Till get dressed, Blizz get nerfed class, and so on and so on. Why cant Blizz do some balance in ptr – idk. Feels like i pay Blizz for testing their system.

If there is broken class – it is bad idea to nerfup him 1%-3% in a week for months. Blizz MUST test their game before start!!

  5. As a Death Knight main the class has a long way to go still but literally seeing changes to all 3 of the specs and a buff to pet survivability in seperate updates this close to each-other makes me feel 'seen' idk its really nice. Im sure there are other specs/classes that maybe arent feeling that as much but from what ive seen they've started listening and making what changes they can without breaking the game at either end and i love it

  6. I am happy with the frequent changes. Healing arenas on my disc priest has been really frustrating. Every game is against venthyr warriors where I get hit for 60k in condemns in 5 secs with sharpen up through ps then I pre some the second hodge in just die to another hp bar of condemns. Not to mention the other melee classes that just have run at me the whole game randomly almost killing me in 3 globals getting kited. On the off chance that I do actually outplay the rng I am Oom by the 4th go. I think I’m just gonna stick to my monk and let the hpals and rshams have fun.

  7. I like to see it even if some of the changes they're making seem strange.

Maybe they're trying to figure out how to deal with the other classes you mentioned, like warrior intervene, without making the ability or class seem gutted.

Love seeing these though and happy we get them.

  8. Crazy timing with this video, this weekend i have decided to take a break from WoW, and play Cyberpunk. As a Mistweaver main since MoP, i hate feeling like i am forced into playing Holy Paladin in order to be even slightly competitive in PvP, time will tell with these and more incremental tunings not just for MW but other classes that are either too OP or need some love, great to see

  9. "frequent" is a bit of a stretch and very very obvious problems are not addressed(ret= protlegendary, dmg overall and blinding light not breaking on holy dmg essentially making it an aoe stun, when you avoid your autoattack, warrior= intervene, ww= overall dmg)

i do still appreciate you staying positive 🙂

  10. Thanks for this Stoopzz, I really appreciate the work you're doing to improve PVP for all.

Edit: I appreciate the Devs tuning in to the community, and Stoopzz help in facilitaing that communication.

  11. I’m sure a video is coming on it, but if not can we talk about how the PvP community has changed the gearing path even for PvE players?

Imagine, if the original conquest system was in place.

  13. It is amazing to see these small tunings. Just a little bit done for some classes makes me feel more satisfied about the future for Shadowlands WoW and hopefully beyond. I'm looking forward to the LFG video!! Appreciate you!
