Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video and today we’re hopping back on the Tinker for one final PUSH into M+ and Raids – and in this video we absolutely pump.
It turns out Tinker does pretty good dps and their rotation, while daunting at first, is actually very simple once you get the hang of it, and you can do some real damage with it. In this video we pump out some progression by doing M+ and various raids, including Heroic Onyxia, and we also ponder on some more Tinker changes that the Tinker community have been talking about in the Duskhaven discord.
I also finally get EXTREMELY lucky at the end and I decide to spread that happiness a bit, while also talking about a new poll and my final thoughts on whether or not Duskhaven is a V+ server or not based on the conversations happening in world chat about the topic.

There is inscription, there are death knights, there is the stormwind harbor, there are the wrath eastern kingdoms and kalimdor, there are the wrath talent trees, if I open the map I see Northrend, all the items have the itemization of Wrath, you can clearly FEEL you are playing the 3. client, you have wrath type of experience gain. And probably a few other things I am forgetting right now.
This is about feeling but all of that does not feel like Vanilla to me. Turtle feels like Vanilla. And I prefer Duskhaven. So this is not a quality judgement.
Feelings are hard to argue. So you will probably say as long as you can't visit northrend and kick arthas' butt it is not WotLK but you shouldn't just dismiss all the people who see all the above the things and feel like they are playing a version of WotLK. If I would have a WotLK level 60 alt it would be very close to what duskhaven is.
I don't understand why the hell tinker cannot use traps and or those new cluster bomb and shrapnel bomb

I liked project ascension but hated the "rush" meta. I honestly couldn't stand not being able to use 90% of the builds and talents in the game because not doing 5k single 10kaoe min gets you kicked. If Ascension could CRUSH the freaking spazed out rush meta and focus on mechanics, difficulty that doesn't involve timers, and polishing under performing play styles, I would return.
I know you play Wow on private servers. But just wondering if you don’t want to play Guild Wars 2 for a change? Would love to see such videos.
I know you can't say anything but I really hope that ascension thing is a PvP thing.
Because the one thing I have been missing since I also kinda dropped Ascension for a while is PvP
You won't get gear from T2 raids. Druids get 3 sets, pally gets 3 sets.. list goes on. I have a hunter and I only ever got the T2 chest from BWL after 2 months, and i'm in a guild. It's 100% going into my pocket. They had to feed me all the T2 tokens for the 350 attack power buff for the raid. Me getting all those tokens came at the cost of taking them away from the raid. The loot pool is too big and because of how old wrath is it just bugs out like last boss in BWL is bugged with his loot, I seen 10+ warlock chests in a row from BWL/ED last boss. Hunters have it rough, just because I'm bis doesn't mean I don't notice hunter gear not ever dropping. Now imagine there is 4 hunters/tickers in a pug raid for BWL/ED.. oooof.
If the lack of raids, continents, and zones make duskhaven vanilla then so should be the lack of rdf. To me rdf is the straw that broke the camel's back. Wotlk client, wotlk talents, and now wotlk rdf. Sure the server is creative when it comes to their classes and zones but they're not at all creative with the vanilla experience. They are in fact creative with the wotlk experience.
Duskhaven should not be seen as a vanilla server by any standard cos it does not provide the vanilla experience. What's stopping people from retail to just do the vanilla content themselves? That's the same argument they put forward for rdf. No one is forcing you to use it. Well, no one is forcing anyone here but you made the game as it is. People who get jbaited should be warned beforehand.
Like I said, duskhaven is a wotlk server pretending to be vanilla. Nothing about it is vanilla except the lack of wotlk content. The more wotlk content is lacking, the more it will be vanilla not the other way around.
You know, if they made this game as easy to download as ascension it would get a lot more players. , not everyone is an IT goof haha.

I agree about the tinker. I love the concept but they just feel really clunky to play compared to other playstyles they enabled like smite priest, DW ret and melee hunter. Definitely needs a retuning and some decent talents. Maybe they could add it in the MM tree since BM and survival already got melee stuff added to it? Time will tell what they do.
On the RDF thing though, that just gave me wow classic ptsd flashbacks. Removing the rdf there is one of the bigger issues killing it and even though I've played through all of the expansions when they were current content, I really don't want to go back to manual group forming for leveling dungeons.

My first character on duskhaven was a tinker. I really enjoy the class, but it definitely needs some refining.
As i said in my comment on another video, lots of things on Duskhaven seems half-baked. Once they refine and polish the content theyve added, it will all feel a lot better.

Nice video man! I started to play at Ascension by one of your videos and now i'm currently a lv18 hunter on Duskhaven, loving every single think about the server. (Also, the whisper ping at 32:26 got me looking at my WoW to see if it was to me)
Tbh I like the concept of tinker using machines but to me as it is right now on duskhaven it feels a little close Machinist on FF14 with the auto Turrets into I mech that they summon it just feels like machinist
I have a similiar issue with Duskhaven, I seem to get very very little loot. Perhaps they should increase the rewards a bit, and / or lock down who gets to roll on what more precisely.
Powertrip sin't happening only there, it is happening on turtle and Epoch too.
I feel that all of these servers are sharing the same GM's

For my feral druid i had to become a tank, then push it to Keystone Master and spamm tanking +8 dungeons to get full set of S2 mythic gear, only to get it nerfed to the ground by Noxx. 😢

I'm not sure what happened on this sever, everyone I was playing with (randoms I met in dungeons and stuck with from level 30 to 60) just all vanished 🙁
