  1. Ugh. Spine of Deathwing. I’ve been doing it solo for that Blazing Drake. It’s one of the last drakes I need for that Awake the Drakes achievement. I do that damn raid on all my max level alts. 10 or 25 Heroic too since I’m trying to get the other two drake mounts from the raid.

I’ve done Spine of Deathwing so many times that I’m
    1. A god damn pro at it
    2. Just dead inside. I no longer get frustrated or angry if I die or mess up. I’ve just become numb to it at this point.

Had somebody help me with one last achievement for Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider (Ping Pong Champion) and I just went and did Spine of Deathwing for them lol. They jumped off his back and I went and did it. Not an issue but I completely understand not wanting to do it lmao.

  2. Having done muru in classic now, ya its still a hard fight, yes speed running guilds didn't have a hard time, but for the other 99% of the player base it was a significant challenge, ik for my guild it took about 70 attempts to get our first kill. I remember reading somewhere that that the average progression kill attempts for muru was 80, which for a boss that's over a decade old and the amount of class stacking and min/max culture that exists now a days is saying something.

  3. If I remember right, M'uru was so hard that during the PTRs before the Sunwell patch even released, world renowned guilds were disbanding due to wipes on him and they actually gave him the <Destroyer of Guilds> tag under his name as a joke during PTRs.

My guild (Which was the #2/3 guild on my server) was only able to defeat him after 3.0 came out (which was the blanket nerf for Wrath that allowed a lot of guilds to even kill Kalecgos, let alone get anywhere near M'uru), and even then 24 / 25 people were dead w/ M'uru at 1% and our friggen MVP offtank managed the last hits.

  4. This list updated would now be Halondrus, Anduin, and Tindral. Painsmith as well. Rygalon had a bunch of pulls as well right?
Obviously these old bosses were tough in their time but they’re not even comparable to the fights we have today. Today’s guilds would blast those fights and they have as we’ve seen.
