Was Shadowlands Mythic+ TOO EASY? Season 4's Massive Healer Meta Shift

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.gg

Season 4 brings a sweep of remastered dungeons to the Mythic+ pool, bringing a seismic shift in how healers need to operate in a Mythic+ environment. The days of being a 5th DPS are OVER and now we’re BACK to being a healer again. In this video I compared Shadowlands M+ dungeons to the S4 Mythic+ content, what I like and how it has changed the game.

  1. I just really really dislike mobs that can one shot you and the unavoidable damage that not even immunities can help your healer , yes I really like healers being the one carrying the group but just don’t make one shot mechanics

  2. I appreciate the idea of s4. Like you said, it's better than no content. However, as someone who did not play much of legion and has not done kara – kara in the 13-15 key range has been the worst experience I have ever had doing m+. I myself am not as good as you, and I don't run with a group of super coordinated players. That has led to situations of extreme frustrations and it definitely feels like a lot of mechanics (especially in kara) are a little too unforgiving right now. I went into these dungeons pretty blind and it has been difficult to even have a chance to learn what I need to heal as it feels like so much of the stuff just does a little bit too much damage. Though, I do agree that SL m+ had way too much avoidable stuff.

We'll have to see how things shake out with a little more gear and more dungeon knowledge, but right now kara especially feels pretty bad to me.

  3. I don't want to say blizzard have been lazy, but it feels kind of like an after thought. It feels like late in the planning process they realised they hadn't come up with any ideas for raid and M+ content, then someone in the back of the room was just like "Hey we could just get them to replay x, y and z dungeons". Instead of giving us new and enjoyable content, we're forced to replay all this old content, which wasn't overly enjoyable the first time around. I get that a lot of the current players won't have played most of the dungeons before, but what about us who played it the first time around?

  4. I am really enjoying Season 4 thus far. Love the idea of revisiting old dungeons and raids. I have one question for you please, what the name of the addon /weakaura on the top left of you screen which shows the spells your casting for the viewers? Thanks.

  5. I just hate this season dungeons. many one shot mechanics that pugging become too frustrating, tasavesh looks so so easy v/s the older ones. I don't find it funny and lead me to think about waiting until dragonflight.

  6. This is their first time doing this. While there are issues I think it's important we convey that we like the idea as a whole but it needs some changes because personally this is so much better than a 14month drought and I hope they keep doing it.

Healer wise I am definitely enjoying needing to do more healing. There's moments where the success of the key is placed in my hands which feels awesome

  7. I had a lot of fun with my holy priest in Legion M+, not really high keys, mind it, my highest back there was a 17, but had a lot of fun. I still hate Kara for M+, though, I did those 2 dungeons barely enough to get the achievement and pulled out, also, as you could do the keys with different chars and still get the achievement (same for BfA, not in Shadowlands, though), I probably did them with pallytank or outlaw rogue, because healing them, specially lower Kara, was a shitshow.

  8. I welcome the chance to play Karazhan again with the current challenge, but I quit at the very end of Catacalysm and came back for Shadowlands. The whole game is weird and I'm not sure if I really like the overall feel of it compared to what it used to be. Anyway, back to Karazhan: I missed out on Legion, and it is very weird not having a 10 man group for it, I remember it being quite a while before my guild at the time had a tank who could solo it, and even then I think it was only after we had all of the 7ish 25m raids on farm, plus Zul'Aman which were higher tier gear in the scheme of things back then. That said, I am finding it hard to keep a group together that is even willing to stick around when 1 or 2 aren't carrying like this whole expansion has been full of. Now I'm not talking full M20 pushing, but it's not just healers that have been feeling like their jobs have been easy, I mean tanks were topping DPS charts as were healers sometimes. Well now they bring back some tricky shit and all of the sudden it is obvious how people have forgotten how to play the game and therefore they are unwilling to learn again. Play your class, move out of shit, and study up on fights a little. People are just too fucking stupid to move out of stuff and groups are wiping on skippable trash pulls between bosses because you're right, they turned up the damage again.

  9. this is why i feel like i prefer NF in certain dungeons over KYR like maybe run kyr on gambit, streets, docks, junkyard, then running NF on workshop, kara, and depot. which i like because i like the playstyle of NF over kyr because i can toss out nf and focus on keeping the group up, but kyr i feel like sometimes if i need to swap healing it feels like it puts ke in a bad spot

  10. I didnt really notice it so much in shadowlands season 1 because Prideful was such a beast to heal through, but yeah the moment season two started it became pretty clear that there were a ton of areas where you could just sleep through as a healer. Its nice to actually need to use apoth again.

  11. I have been having fun, straight pugging and everyone has been super cool and helpful when people don't know anything. I REALLY liked most of the OG Shadowlands dungeons so I do miss those a good bit, but I am enjoying new things. I didn't do M+ in Legion, so my Kara experience was solely BC raiding(turns out its a SLIGHT bit different…) and it's been a blast to learn. ALSO having like 70% haste at the end of the key is pretty fun ngl. It's a meme season, not mad about it. I am pretty bored with redoing Nathria this week and even less excited about SoD and Sepulchur but keys have been a good time.
