Why do I love Classic World of Warcraft so much, many of you have asked? What is it about this ancient version of our favorite MMO that fills me such excitement and enthusiasm for the game, even all these years later? Well, I wanted to know the answer to this question as much as you all do, which is why I’ve set out to create a new series of videos called “Why I Love Classic WoW,” starting with this first installment about the World of Azeroth.

I intend there to be several videos in this chain, as there’s much to discuss, and I hope that you all follow me on this adventure through Azeroth. And for those of you that maybe don’t understand why this version of World of Warcraft is so special to so many, maybe my opinions might show you just why. Thank you all for watching!

  1. This is the first part of a multi-episode series I intend to make, all about why I love Classic WoW so much. As of me writing this I have several videos planned, all covering different topics, so if you enjoyed this one, would you be willing to support the others by subscribing? Thanks, everyone! I hope you all are enjoying SoD and Anniversary as much as I have been recently.

  2. Wish Blizzard watches these clips. Please Blizz listen to your audience and come back on track with WoW. Retail is so offtrack of the OG WoW feeling. Wheres the journey? The hardship? The forcing of player interactions

  3. The first time I played WoW back in BC I remember picking a human paladin, and being mad that I started with a hammer instead of a two hand sword – even though it shows a hammer on the starting screen. I was such a dumbass kid. Man what I wouldn't give to be 32 again

  4. I found WoW at the end of TBC, after my AD&D group broke up. While the graphics were nothing special, the gameplay and world amazed me and I found so many things that reminded me of AD&D. The developers obviously played Dungeons and Dragons at some point. I even met a real girl and had a brief, long distance relationship with her. The game expansion I loved the most was Wrath. I played Wow expacs up until those dam garrisons then quit. Now I'm back playing Classic Cata and I like it more than last time. I honestly think I will be playing this game until my eyes and hands go due to age. We shall see, I'm almost 60 now. Cheers brah.

  5. I desperatly need all those points in Runeterra MMO. I mean need so bad 👴👴👴

There are just no MMO that feels like one real world with no loading screen, mystery and danger at every corner 👐

Riot I beg you : bring freshness but bring back true immersion 🐸🙏

  6. I think one of the reasons ppl come back to or play Classic wow is cause of the love that other ppl have for the game.

I love to love something and share it with ppl who loves it aswell. 🙂 either if its irl or a game.

Maybe thats the same reason retail starts to feel like a drag for me. Ppl hate that they hate what it has become? :/ or that ppl are so busy hating on it… :/

  7. i did play 8 years from start an than i did try it 2 years ago i gotta say if they made all loot 100% random i was in so you dont have to farm same bosses over an over way to easy to get the best of the best beside Epic it need to be 100% random so you can make item there with stats there is 00.2 procent drop an so on so you always have somthing can achive upgrade forever. gets to trivielt over time

  8. I'm not sure I really appreciated how difficult wow can be until I played HC. It's not that it's outright hard, but there are SO MANY ways you can get into a bad situation, even out in the open questing, to say nothing of caves and dungeons and dead end canyons…

  9. Classic feels alive. Getting a drop from a dungeon feels so fulfilling with people in your group saying “grats”. There is actual social interaction. Retail just feels like a soul less assembly line. I wish retail would get back to what it was so many years ago.

  10. Imagine if the removed loading screens from zone in retail. I know its not the topic for this video but I think it would add some immersion if you could use your mounts to fly or swim from one continent to the other…or Tuskarr Dinghy…

  11. Starwars Galaxies does NOT have invisible walls 4:44
The video clip you showed is Starwars the Old Republic which does have invisible walls, Ill assume you made a mistake with the verbiage considering you showed SWToR and not SWG.

  12. i've been playing retaill wow, coming from years of ff14, the lack of loading screens in WoW is ridiculous to me, i thought it was just the newer zones that new players get placed in were like that, nope! even traveling to the old old zones its massive af. with oceans, underground areas, caverns and a high high sky also.

  13. I was sooo disappointed when playing ESO, coming from WoW, that there were loading screens between zones. That all races were the same. WoW races had different movement, walking, fighting, etc. there is an actual difference between races, they are not only different skins like in ESO.

  14. You know man I wish they would just finish it. Blizzard has no idea what to do with classic sod is something but it's new wow mixed with old wow. What they really need to do is finish it, build the raid in winterspring, open karazan, open uldam in taranis, like if they did that everyone would be stoked no BC just progression after naxx.

  15. I remember trying to play for the first time seeing that advertisement for a 10 day free trial. (I was at my sisters house) I tried downloading the game but her internet sucked. It was an estimated 24 DAYS to download. Long story short, my dad bought a nice PC in 2008 and ever since then I have been playing WoW.

  16. great video. I started in 05 and quit during wotlk whatever year that was. I am so pleased I got to spend the best years of the game. I can't replay this game, since work, study, family life. Sometimes I think what class / race I would play if I did come back. Probably a dwarf hunter.

  17. completely agree. the zones were the best part of WoW for me. exploring, learning the differences in each zone, the music, cant forget the music. almost makes me want to play again. great vid.

  18. WoW did a lot of things right, but I always found EQ to be more immersive thanks to their first-person view and sound effects. I always thought it was a shame that WoW didn't have a good first-person view, but I guess 3rd person view just gives too much of an advantage.

  19. Good points. But I don't agree with #6. Most of those places were intentionally added to occupy scenery for flight paths, which is how most people came to visit them. And the rest were unfinished content intended to be finished one day. There are few examples of things that were legitimately random yet intentional for an average player to discover. But visiting them certainly offered an interesting mystique for a determined explorer and made for fun RP or machinma spots.
