  1. Sylvanas Windrunner, once Ranger General of the then High Elves, has been betrayed many times throughout life and unlife. She was killed by the Deathknight Arthas, and turned into a ghostly banshee. A slave to the Lich King. When Illidan weakened the LK, he recalled Arthas to take the helm of domination. The control over Sylvanas weakened. First, the dreadlords used her to take over Azeroth. She wanted to kill Arthas. She turned on the dreadlords and demanded one of them kill the others. Working with her one time human allies to free Lorderon, only to have those humans turn on her because she was undead. She killed them and gathered all the undead freed from the Lich King to make the new group, the Forsaken. They joined the horde because the alliance saw them as evil. Even though the undead are all human family members raised. Garrosh used the Forsaken as frontline army though with the Lich King gone, she couldn't raise new undead. She used the vyrkul(?) angelic looking women to raise new forsaken but used non humans. Garrosh said no. The undead have had every race as enemies by default. The wrathgate wasn't Sylvanus. We quested to kill those responsible and to retake Lorderon. I've played both factions. The worgen tell a different point of view and that's where I first saw Sylvanas as a villain. Before then, Sylvanas was both vengeful spirit and savior of the unwanted forsaken.

  2. Soooo apparently YouTube decided I didn't need to be subbed anymore? I was wondering why I hadn't seen any content from you guys lol

Anyway, not going to be super negative as I can be when I talk about WoW- especially modern. Don't get me wrong, older WoW had a lot of issues too, it's simply that retail is of its own making.

So positives- the Talanji scene with her arms up as the Alliance fleet was decimated is one of my favorites. Absolutely loved her character as on the Horde side you can actually quest through a whole zone with her and learn her views- one of which being that she yearns to be a good leader and change her people for the better. She starts by literally going into a cursed swamp to stop an era-long territorial war from becoming a continent spanning one! Extremely cool zone too.

The Jaina/Catherine stuff is hard for me to like due to those cutscenes being between the entire main-story quest; but only at the beginning and end.

Going through Kul Tiras actually bored me to tears after playing through Zandalar as it's so weirdly detached from the main story, whereas Zandalar felt more fluid even though they are basically the same story through a different lens. I think the poor story boarding did it a massive disservice.

Oh and the launch cinematic- you guys aren't the only ones who still get chills at the faction rallying cries! It's a shame how bad the reasoning was for the faction war this time around. They literally could have had the war due to the Alliance under Greymane (the werewolf) attacking and destroying a Horde fleet unprovoked during Legion. Instead that was ignored… for genocide. There are few things a character can't come back from. That's definitely one of those things.

Then again the whole story is just bad now so- I don't know anymore honestly.

Loved the reactions! Gonna watch part 2 tomorrow after work.

Hope you two are having a good week into next year! 🙂

  4. Great reaction, but I am very sad Jaina is your favorite. The lives of Blood Elves slain during her unjust purge of Dalaran still call out for justice. Jaina is the number one Alliance character I want to kill, even more so than the whining king, anduin.

  5. The city they are fighting over at the start, Lordaeron, is the former capital of the alliance. This is where Arthas murdered his father, while Jaina was his love interest. After the lich king events the scourge have taken over and the Forsaken (which were once humans) took shelter in the very same city. Neglected by the Alliance, they joined the Horde. The moment Anduin steps in the city gates there's a moment where he looks at it like "Wow… The history of this place.".

  6. I lost my dad two months before BfA was released. He was one week out from having a pacemaker put in that would have most likely saved his life. My Mom and I begged him to stop smoking, to change his habits, but he wouldn't. I was the one who found him on his bed. I will never not remember how it felt the first time I watched/played through the Kul'Tiras/Jaina storyline. My Dad died as a result of my being sick, I didn't want to go get the waters out of his truck and so he opted to carry them up the stairs himself. I told him I would have done it later, but he wouldn't listen. I miss him every single day. I will never not miss him. But I wished he would have listened to me and my Mom.

So, when I want to torture myself, I come here and get re-experience someone else's loss and grief because their father wouldn't listen to them either.

  7. I'm bringing these reactions. I love how the first time they saw Jaina (when she pushed Varian to dismantle the horde), they didn't like her and called her crazy eyes and now she's the favorite hahah She's my favorite too!! I love her arc.

  9. Just one thing you need to know about Jania, she did some questionable things after Gorrash bombed her city of Theramore . Like killing Sunreavers ( blood elves) In Dalran ( mage city) even though they had nothing to do with it but simply because they were Horde!
I don't hate her though, I understand that trauma of any kind can cause us to do horrible things. This is one of the reasons I love warcraft's storytelling so much there is no truly good or evil but a lot of shades of grey, just like in real life!!!!!!! Love your videos!

  10. The biggest tragedy is that writers went with Sylvanas evil arc instead of thinking of something creative. They have wasted one of the most interesting characters in fiction on their incompetence.

  11. The videos here are not in order. The old soldier cinematic was before the Battle for Azeroth, and Jaina's nightmare was before her arrival to Kul Tiras

  12. You have to know that gods or intention only influence your ODDS!! for example if you want to graduate an exam and you never study anything is like 0x0=0, Rastakan managed to defeat his enemy, because he had a chance made by the death loa, so he defeated him, the rest of the situation is left to the natural laws and the situation laws, in my opinion that scene is very well explained. He defeated him, but lost his kingdom, because all he wanted was to defeat him, as always when talking to gods, loa or spirits, or even intent itself, KNOW TO PRONOUNCIATE YOUR WISH.

  13. Bit of a necro post, and maybe I missed the comment that mentions this, but to contextualize just how horrible and tragic of a life Jaina has had — she's approximately 36 years old by this expansion. She's literally been in one war or another since she was 23 years old (when Warcraft III takes place). This means she saw Arthas fall at age 23, founded Theramore at 24/25, lost her father within that year, saw Arthas die when she was 29/30, suffered the loss of Theramore (Mists of Pandaria) when she was 33 and nearly went mad, lost King Varian at age 35, and experienced the start of Battle for Azeroth while she was 35/36.

  14. If there was something I hated more than Garosh going nuts, it was Sylvanas going nuts.
For start because it looks to me that they decide to do so in last minute. First trailer showing her as Warchief and hero that cares about horde and second trailer (old soldier) went completely opposite direction.
Second it was basically Garosh 2.0 plot. Just take what happened with Garosh and Theramore, rewrite names and you basically have what is happening here.
And finally they done Horde dirty once again. Why it was necessary? How many times they want to do that to horde?

Also I have kinda problem with how it went with Thedrassil. What are all night elves doing while there is fleet going for them? Do they like forgot about fleet? Or what is this?
