Okay so … Obviously Still a lot of Guild Wars 2 references but like I said I will slowly reduce it.
However in the Future I will make videos with Gw2 as the main Topic but it feels impossible right now .. Unfortunately. So my videos are still about MMORPGs in general but I need at least one game as a foundation so I went for World of Warcraft. TL;DR in my opinion there is too much in modern mmos and I am not talking about micro transactions in This video I only look at gameplay and ofc as funny and confusing as my limited editing skills allow me to do.
Thanks for watching.

1. Challenge is no longer a virtue.
2. Patience is a thing of the past.
3. Skill is secondary to gear.
4. Failure is not an option.
5. Group play is a thing of the past.
6. Risk is a four-letter word.
7. Homogenization is the norm.
8. Creativity is stifled.
9. The game world is a theme park but don't hold hands.
10. Cooperation and collaboration are seen as relics of a bygone era.
11. Most people think the game is a job.
12. Apparently the developers are the enemy.
13. The game is disposable.
This is what has become of MMORPG players, and the armchair developers.
I get it – WoW and other MMORPG can be overwhelming and grindy. Yes, just pick a few things to focus and reach each one on your own way. I do play PvP for fun and also if you join a community guild (no pvp guilds anymore) – they will help you reach goals if you speak up. They also do 'rival' world pvp. Also you can merc to play opposite faction.
I love the humour of this channel man. Keep it up. But there is a issue every live service game might run into.Content Bloat.Recent mmorpgs getting so long to developt not just because of graphics and polishing also they had to decide do they gonna satisfy old generation of gamers of new generations. Are we gonna make our game pretty slow phase ,challenging, social or we gonna satisfy speedrunners, solo players and casual gamers. No wonder Lol mmorpg head developers completely scrapt to project. They have one chance otherwise they'll join to others mmorpgs in the graveyard. The thing I like about WoW community they have spines to stand againts decisions of Blizzard and gather around for make demands. While Gw 2 community have one rule "Love or Leave".
I believe this core issue is with most "Live service" games.
I am having fun with Single player RPG's with co-op functions at the moment. Try titles like Nioh 2, Monster Hunter, Granblue fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy Stranger of Paradise, FF Remake/Rebirth…etc
i gave up in it a while ago because there's just more crap than I'd ever want to process.
well i play wow since 2007 and i must say , you dont play for loot but for glory m+ rat or m raid kill in present wow
7:35 "everyone plays only one game mode" – not sure if I totally agree to it in terms of ALL mmos, for WOW it is 100% the case but thats because your time is so limited you just can't spare enough to do other things. FFXIV plenty of people did the regular "battleground" and crystalline conflict especially when its a new season, and those people also raid on a regular basis, no barrier to entry on either. GW2 there is no barrier to entry on any activity except maybe Fractals just to get to T4 levels and WvW requiring SOME gear but its pretty minimal.
ESO (which I think you should play since you are a long time GW2 player) has pretty much also very low barrier of entry to any content and since its horizontal as well and no mendatory monthly sub play at your leisure.
9:35 I agree on mythic raid not giving out higher lvl gear, which would also make it so that M+ should be lowered to give out max ilvl gear at around 12? (can be balanced to make it even less) but I think mythic raid should def award better color and more robust looking gear of the current season's set, furthermore making it time limited edition of mog to make it actually valuable.
12:10 I am actually confused who thats supposed to be. the amount of "chat" spoken makes me think its xQc, the drawing and the shape of the rag on the head might be asmongold's hair? but then the name "sea thief software" is def a reference to pirate software. lol
14:10 if you have no idea what to do, how about setting your own goals? you want to be good in pvp? dedicate time to your combos, to avoiding damage, to positioning instead of just playing PvP for fun, give yourself the improvement goals. if you want to be good at raids, do research and practice the raids getting used to timers and perfecting your rotation. At the end of the day it's up to you what you want to do in the game, I get it can be overwhelming at times or more like "do i rly want to spend 10min looking for a M+, 25 min running it, and probably not getting any loot that I could use" type of feeling, but essentially it is all about goal setting. I know what you mean when you say "I don't feel like I've accomplished anything in 3 hours" but here is an example for my goal right now in GW2:
I want to craft EoD Legendaries to make some gold so my regular day looks like this:
T4 Fracs + Recs
Dragon's end meta
Dragonstorm
Character parking in EoD + IBS
Daily asc material crafts
Daily Quartz
Drizzlewood Daily turnin
Dragonfall Daily 5 motes
Minimal cost craftsman turn-ins (aiming for 50s on average) (about 17 craftsman tokens /day)
excluding DE meta, I usually finish all of those in about an hour, DE meta is 1-1.5 hours depends how early I want to start it, so in under 3 hours I end up doing quite alot, but again that fits my goal, when I have the time I add the weeklies to it like WvW weekly, Fractal CMs and raids
14:55 I dont think I've ever felt a sense of progress in 1 hour of mmo playing, especially in the older mmos where everything is at the pace of a crawl. You can definitely accomplish WAY more now in an hour of mmo than you could in any older version of any MMO
just play classic sod then
Pure genius! 🤣
"Ashes of creation is still soon™"
Yeah, sure
Stop complaining, you have to understand that the point of gaming is to solve problems or overcome challenges, and if you get everything you want granted, there will be no reason to play it.
Example 1: I love WoW BGs, and I complained about how hard it was to gear up while playing it hard and having fun. Now gearing up is super easy, and GUESS WHAT? I DON`T PLAY IT ANYMORE because it feels meaningless now.
Example 2: I complained about the vertical progression and GUESS WHAT? This season, I maxed out 2 characters, then abandoned them to start over and over again with 10 other alts.
