Talents are up in the beginning of the video.
I used Unbridled Fury DPS pot; everything else was SLands Consumables
I’m terrible at range; can’t stop from making my PoV ultra top down.

Other then Unbridled Fury pot I didn’t use anything special (no weird leggos/obscure trinkets/crafted MoP gear/old gems, etc.).

First off; everything went very right on this pull – I got Raest down to 58% in the first phase he became active and also I had very fortuitous Rune spawns so that I didn’t even need to bother with Mind Bomb.

I only Void Torrent once in the beginning of the fight when Karam starts chasing. When Raest first becomes active I immediately dot/DP him and then Void Torrent/DP before popping Shadow Fiend and Voidform/PI/trinket/pot/drums. I tried to burn him as hard as possible in this phase. I hit all the adds and Raest with VF and Shadow Crash soon after onto the adds (and Raest if he is stacked with them which he should be in the beginning). Mainly I use Shadow Crash onto adds throughout the fight just to proc Twist of Fate. Every global in this phase should be filled with a dmg spell. I found this phase to be the easiest to pop everything on and get the most effective dps since there are no mechanics and you can easily kite adds by stutter stepping in between globals. You can Mind Sear onto adds once or twice when you would normally Mind Flay if you like to abuse Twist of Fate, but try to focus Raest hard. You can squeeze a full channel Void Torrent as it comes off cd in the last couple seconds of your voidform before Raest goes immune again. If you end up somewhere between 60-65% health on Raest then you’re sitting pretty.

In the next phase when Karam starts chasing you again, I tried to draw it out so that 3 hands spawn and I phased right after I kill the 3rd hand. You can silence 1st hand; disperse 2nd hand; silence 3rd hand if you need to. If you have Void Torrent available and full dots then you can easily kill the hand without any of that as long as you have enough space to full channel. Try to have Karam dotted up and at around or slightly under 40% health when the 3rd hand spawns and you should be able to kill the hand and get Karam to 33% health to start the next phase at right around the same time. You can run around and just throw out SW:P on Karam to build insanity while you’re waiting for the 3rd hand.

The reason I wait for three hands to spawn is so that PI comes up within a few seconds as Raest becomes attackable again. Pop your Voidform with PI at that point and burn him again while heading to the Rune when it spawns. Again, try to be as dmg efficient with your globals as you can; the adds are easy to kite. If you get Raest into Twist of Fate range by the time Karam starts chasing you again you’re looking good.

At this point make sure you’re ready for the all the combined mechanics. Try to always keep dots on Raest; if I knew I was about to switch to kill the hand I made sure I had pretty healthy dots on Raest so that they didn’t drop while focusing the hand. If you can efficiently kill hands and switch back to Raest without skipping a beat then you should be pretty set. Hope for some nice rune spawns and keep dmg on Raest. It is important to kill the hands quick, so either pooling some insanity for double plague or having Void Torrent is useful. You want to have the fight soon after the 3rd hand in the phase spawns otherwise the mechanics and Karam’s stacking speed will become overwhelming. You’ll get another Voidform towards the end. I made a couple errors in the fight (still used shadow crash on adds even though Raest was in Twist of Fate range already) and still had some wiggle room in this kill; I chose to just use Void Torrent to finish off Raest when he only had a few percent instead of killing the hand that was up. Silence just came off cd and I still had Desperate Prayer which you use if you’re at full health to tank a grasp cast so I had some options in case Raest wasn’t about to die. Again though; really want to be near the end of the fight by the time the 3rd hand spawns in that final phase.

Other things that helped: I used a target macro for both Raest and the Hands so that I could target them quickly instead of trying to find their bars in a sea of nameplates. You can also just click their boss frames. I preferred to bind my target macros to my mousewheel. You can also set up a mind bomb macro for Karam.

Good luck!
