Fresh Vanilla servers are always amazing at the start, but as time goes on I have seen similar issues crop up again and again.
Today I want to think about the future a bit and anticipate some issues regarding fresh which are well worth talking about right now.
Let me know your thoughts on fresh and what – if anything – should be top priority for the devs here.

  1. They can fix the pvp battlegrounds problem, just let hord and alliance have mixed groups like they did on TBC classic, I think they called it the mercenary mechanic, where if you are queuing as horde, you could be entered into an alliance team as a mercenary, you wore a mask of like a dwarf or human, was pretty funny, and changed things up regarding orcs having to face off against orcs and experiencing that stun resist for themselves

  3. I hope the Devs are not reading the comments, only people who want the game to be easier with suggestions from future expansions, that isnt really new and we all came back to the game because it did NOT have these new features.
As someone who respecced twice a week from Arms to fury prot in 2019 release, I will tell you dual spec is not a classic thing, it will be game breaking in a greater sense. SO it should at least be expensive even unobtainable for pure dps classes and definitely not low level healer friendly shenanigans.
To put it simple, if you want Dualspec, no caps on buffs, no world buffs or whatever genius idea people have in their heads it means you dont want classic, you want something else so go play something else.

  4. Can't say I disagree much with anything said, but feels like the video misses the point of these fresh servers. They are there to set up permanent TBC servers in a years time without the problems caused by the insanely inflated gold amounts on the current vanilla servers and many other problems if they were given the option to go to TBC. These are literally the TBC waiting room servers so any change or fixes made should be with what's best for TBC, not what's best for the accelerated pace of vanilla.

  5. Only problem they need to fix is just making an actual Classic+
SoD is just a test run. Because MOST people are not going to want to keep doing the same exact thing over and over again.

  6. Yes but when AV first came out, alliance was winning damn near every single one in 5-6 minutes from start, if it hit 7 minutes there would be someone complaining about dead weight, I got my 2 60s to exalted and my 51 warrior to 58 and exalted in the first two weeks of it.

  7. They could fix the battleground experience by adding MMR and doing cross faction bgs. You'll only play with people around your skill level. Premades can be made to be unable to que with anyone too far outside of your MMR. Ez fix.

  8. The most important issue that needs too be addressed is bots. First and foremost it’s the bots. Wsg needs a separate que for premades, and honor should have been turned on from the start.

  9. If they want people to not quit before aq40 drops, and not just raid log at end game they NEED to make changes.

Remove the cap of rare recpies sold from vendors like runecloth bag etc. Only bots camp the NPCs selling them and then putting them on AH overpriced, so damn stupid and pointless.

And dual spec is the best improvement in classis ever, this will make the game way more active dungeon wise with healers and tanks.

And black lotus is a neat idé 20 years ago but in 2024 just stupid and almost force people to buy gold in order to afford flask to make there class viable raid wise.

And fix so you cant SAP the npc dropping the ony/nef buff so it gets cancled. It was a problem in 2019 classic.

  10. As a casual player with full time employment and other stuff going on in my life, I am honestly asking whether I sould even bother to lvlup to 60 or will get rejected by some hardcore jerks due to lack of gear for raid? I am currently lvl 17 and that is my tempo, but i want to play thorrough all the raids. Given the fact that this season will last only 12 motnhs, should i even try or delete my character for good?

  11. So, maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think wow is not, and has never been balanced around pvp in any way shape or form. As a result, no amount of changes can realistically be made that would "fix" pvp. Wow's pvp tends to be fun as an exception and frustrating/time wasting as the general rule. And to be clear, this extends far beyond vanilla, wow has just never been balanced around it and as a result it has never been truly competitive in the way league of legends or other esports are either. I tend to think that any changes to pvp at this point are pretty moot. The players who want to pvp in wow will do so regardless, but the average player who just wants to do some pvp every once in a while have always been few and far between after the first month or so of any given expansion.

  12. I really hope they reduce the cost of Chronoboon. 10g per made perfect sense when it released in the Naxx patch and everyone had tons of extra gold to spend. It is WAY too costly for a server in the first or second phase. 1g per is the highest price I can justify to myself that early, and honestly it would probably be fine for them to just be dirt cheap like in SoD.

  13. It appears that the Devs on this version have decided to make drops from kills in the open world to produce drops at a much lower rate than they have been in the 2019 classic, SoD or SoM servers. An hour killing Gnolls in Westfall to get the needed Gnoll Paws for a quest is ridiculous. Same can be seen on many other quests. They have tweaked drops to slow progression apparently in the open world.

  14. So, basically, the summary of this video: Blizzard update will be based on how much money you can spend if you want quick upgrades and be stronger. Therefore, gotta adopt on why and how you play the game.

  15. The big problem with duel spec is that they probably take longer to fix gear for players main builds. Everyone will take "need" buttom on good items like rare/epic in dungeons, and say, this should be on my farm spec, or my dps spec, or pvp specc or my duel spec? This really express in wow classic they will not work! They work in wrath because they drop significantly more good things there, and they could create good things beside dungons and farm heroic 5mans for tookens. In wow classic there is very few ways to get good bis gear. We will see how this goes! Maybe blizzard increase the dropprate for dungons? who knows?
